Title says it all.

Some people have lightning-fast twitch reflexes for shooters. Some people can memorize hundreds of combos in fighters. Some people can multitask like a quad-core CPU for strategy games. (etc, etc)

What are you?

I'm a strategy man. I suck at pretty much any other genre (especially shooters and fighters). But I think strategy games are both my strongest and my favourite games.

I'm pretty good at shooters, but I love RTS games somewhat more but I'm awful at them...

I used to really be into RPGs but since I haven't found many that I like nowadays...

I like pretty much any genre except for sports (although there are a few unique sports games that I enjoy), but I find myself spending more and more time with RPGs. Now that Im older and have more financial concerns, the amount of time I spend with a game is a much bigger concern than it was when I could afford to buy a game every week. The RPGs I enjoy offer enough replay value for multiple playthroughs with different outcomes, and it's a huge bonus if a playthrough clocks it at 50+ hours.

All practicality aside, I enjoy games with deep stories and player-driven storytelling, and RPGs offer the best of those things.

Platformers. I'm fucking ace at platformers, Jak and Daxter, Ratchet and Clank, inFAMOUS, Spyro, Sly Cooper, Uncharted, Crash Bandicoot. . . awesome games.

Second is easily first-person shooters. Half-Life and Counter-Strike are in that genre, and you can't beat that.

Really getting into games like Metro 2033, best game ever made. Hopefully over the top shooters will have a comeback, because Bulletstorm was 'more of a Bulletdrizzle'.

Anything that isn't Sport or Racing. I love a broad spectrum of game genres, but not those. Mainly as I'm terrible.

Platformers! BOING, SKIP, JUMP, DODGE, all in glorious 2D (not necessarily, but platformers work best in 2D).

Depends on my mood and what games are out. I default to FPS, but do enjoy a good RPG and RTS. I only play with people I know on RTS against the comps. If they made a multiplayer RPG in the style of Baulder's Gate 2 I would die in front of my tv..... I spent so much of my time at my friends house beating that game to a pulp..... ahhhh, good times.

I love RTS and JRPGs a lot but if I had to choose just one favorite I would lean toward JRPGs, both genres give way more hour per dollar value and JRPGs always have the best characters and stories, period. Also, Tales of Vesperia is my favorite game of all time and even has my favorite protagonist of all time, so I guess that scores 2 extra in support of JRPG.

I think I'd probably go for side-scrolling platformers and 2D shooters. A lot of my old favourites are in those two genres. Commander Keen, Duke Nukem, Jazz Jackrabbit, Raptor, Tyrian. Great games which we really don't see enough of any more.

as you could probably tell from my avatar, fighting games. I love the intensity, and all the various character designs.

Different genres for different occasions and momentary preferences.

I'm quite good at FPS's. I also enjoy strategies and RPG's. Sports games also have their place.

Currently I'd say FPS's, strategy games and RPG's. It's difficult to pick one above others.

Stealth games!

And by stealth I mean games like Thief.

They just add a whole new level of difficulty!
