Brosnan. Because he's just what I envision Bond to be. Tall, dark, and handsome, with a smooth voice that just melts the knees like butta, and he's calm and cool under pressure.

So, seeing as Craig is pretty much the opposite of that, I don't like him much.

Pierce Brosnan just because when I think James Bond, I think Goldeneye, and when I think Goldeneye, I think Goldeneye 64.

As a kid it was Moore, I didn't even realise Live and Let Die was about Heroin until after about my 8th viewing. I just thought they were the bad guys, so I responded well to the light hearted Moore-Bond. Then it was Brosnan in my teens because of Golden Eye and special effects and explosions and cars etc.

Now it's Dalton for all the reasons stated, just the most convincing Bond.

Special mention to Richard Kiel, just immense on-screen presence. That man will terrify me for the rest of my life.

This is tough, because I don't really dislike any of the Bonds. I genuinely enjoyed all of them.

I think Craig has to be my favourite, but not by much. Connery comes in a close second (From Russia With Love was fantastic). After that it gets really hard to rate them.

I think Craig deserves much more praise, Bond has always had an air of cheesy 70's porno dialogue, and Craig's movies are the first real attempt I've seen to grow out of that.

I can't really pick one to be honest, the movies tend to change so much with each new actor that it's hard to consider them to be one big series about the same character.

My favourites are Connery, Moore and Brosnan. Connery will forever be the classic Bond in its "purest" form, neither comedic nor too dark. Moore's movies tend to be much more light-hearted and even satirical at times, which I understand can annoy some purists but some of them are really great movies nonetheless in my opinion. Finally, Brosnan epitomises the more "modern" Bond (though his later 2 movies were kind of bad).

Although I liked Dalton's and Lazenby's movies, the character never really felt like Bond to me. Craig is definitely my least favourite, though it's probably more due to the new direction the writers have given the series. Craig looks more like a random action hero than Bond.

I'm quite surprised how few people are saying Moore. I'm personally not a fan of his run on the whole (individual films of his are good just dislike his campy Bond. He is to Bond what Adam West was to Batman). Still though, thought he had a big fanbase.

Brosnan is the one I grew up with so I really like him. But I do really think Craig has made for the most interesting Bond so far. So he gets favourite.

The appreciation I see for Dalton and Lazenby pleases me greatly!

I have a big soft spot for Dalton though. Sure, Licence to Kill gets worse and worse every time I see it, but The Living Daylights gets better and better. It's one of the few Bond films that seems to have a coherent plot that isn't as flimsy as most of the other ones.

Also, The Living Daylights introduced me to a-Ha, and they're one of my favorite bands now. I heard Take On Me before, but it was the first time I've truly heard of these guys. And, listening to more of them, I'm kind of in love with them now!

The Living Daylights might be my favorite Bond movie. It's somewhat dated though, and every time I think back on it, there were a couple of scenes that I felt weren't exactly.....Bondish, and kind of stupid.

But, every time I watch the movie, it kicks some serious ass.

The other movies I like include Goldfinger(of course), From Russia With Love, On Her Majesty's Secret Service, For Your Eyes Only, Goldeneye, and the two Craig movies, and I'm really looking forward to Skyfall.

I think all of the Bonds were really good, it's just that, some times, the Bonds I tend to favor least haven't exactly been in the greatest movies like Roger Moore and Pierce Brosnan. But, when they were in their only good Bond film, they pull off the role quite nicely.

Daniel Craig's.

I'm enjoying the direction that his interpretation of the character is heading, even if it's not necessarily because of his job. And Casino Royale might just be the best Bond flick ever.

Needless to say, I'm pumped for Skyfall.
Exactly what I was thinking. There is no other actor who could pull off the new direction that Bond has headed in since Pierce Brosnan was retired. Don't get me wrong, Brosnan is still my favorite, but Daniel Craig has taken Bond in a direction that no other actor could have, and I love it. Someday he will be looked upon in the same way that Sean Connery is. (He will always be the Epitome of James Bond since he did it so long for so well. Plus, he IS the original James Bond.)

Also, "The Man with the Golden Gun" is my favorite. Scaramunga is the greatest Bond Villain simply because he did it all on his own.

I'm going to start this off by saying that, much like The Doctor, I don't think there has ever really been a BAD bond. And much like the actors of the Doctor, some of them just got shafted pretty bad.

As for my favorite, I'm gonna throw my hat into the Connery ring: Goldfinger was the first bond film i saw and in my eyes connery will always be THE bond. I still think every bond, yes even Craig, has their own strengths and are good in their role provided you're aware (much like with the Doctor) what sort of portrayal the Actor is going with the character.

I think Daniel Craig is an awful Bond. I cannot stand him as Bond and I can't stand watching the movies.

I picked Brosnan because I liked the movies he was in best. I also grew up with him but I have seen most of the other Bonds.

To reiterate, I fucking hate Daniel Craig.
I get the feeling you don't like Daniel Craig...it's just a feeling though.
I'll tell you what, I fucking hate him as Bond. It literally ruins the entire movie. Shittest Bond who ever lived. Austin Powers is a better Bond.

Fuck.
agreed, to be honest i don't mind craig in a ton of flicks he's been in, but dear god if i don't fall asleep/get pissed every second i have to sit through casino royale, fucking hate that movie, couldn't even sit through the whole second movie without wanting to leave.

to me, it takes everything that makes james bond, and shoves it right out the fucking window for some half ass action movie with no "bond" action/finesse.

this is actually quite eye-opening, nearly everyone i know all hate the 2 newest movies, while the forum kids apparently love them..hm..

refuse to see the new bond, just because it's daniel craig as bond, it's almost exclusively ruined him as an actor for me, because everytime i see him i just want to shoot him and have anyone take his place as bond.
