These days, though, it's mostly Arcana Heart, Melty Blood, Smash Brothers, Fate/Unlimited Codes, Tekken 5: DR, and Capcom vs. SNK 2. I don't own a Guilty Gear title, myself, and none of the arcade I know of have one...
Go get Guilty Gear dammit!! Guilty Gear xx A core plus (latest and most definitive version) is for the PSP, Wii, and PS3. It's great and i'm sure you could find it for any one of those platforms.
I guess. I dunno, though. I loved X2, Reloaded, and Slash, but I wasn't all that fond of Accent Core the couple of times I played it in the arcade. The force breaks were fun to play around with, but the combo system changes and sudden prevalence of OTG combos threw me off...as did the changes to Axl's pokes, ruining my keepaway game. I'll consider it, though, since I didn't realize there was a Wii version.

Fighting games do my head in. The only one i have liked has been Soul Calibre 2. That had variety.

All the rest have recycled 2 minute fights that have no reason for existance.
You clearly don't know anything about fighting games and you say exactly the same things other people like you say out of ignorance. Among the fighting games I played, Soul Calibur 2 is one with the least variety, mainly because it uses a rigid combat system rather than a freeform combat system.

As for the second argument you bring, you should back it up. Why are they recycled? Did you just said that without thinking or did you think about it and then decided to say something preposterous and false?

As for them having no reason to exist... Why is that? Because you don't like them they shouldn't exist? Are you really that important?

Maybe you should first think about whether your post on this thread should exist.
God, this site is plagued by people who don't understand these things apply to me. I don't need fighting games to exist for me. You can have all the fun you like.

As to the rehashing, basically 2 people enter a pre-decided ring of which there are a couple of dozen and fight to the knockout, occasionally under different circumstances.

I'm glad you enjoy fighting games, they just don't matter to me.

I play the occasional fighting game, like Soul Calibur, Smash Bros., Tekken, Mortal Kombat etc.

I think the first fighting game I played was Tekken 3 *reminises with rose-tinted glasses*. Also I used to be awesome at Tekken 4, I had all the characters combo's down. But suddenly I just lost the skill, my reactions became slower, I couldn't pull off any decent combo's. It was at that point when my interest in fighting games started to waver a bit.

I enjoy some of them.

Soul Calibur is probably my favourite one, but I also enjoy smash bros (if it counts).

I hate most fighting games. it's by far the most likely game to involve button mashing and induces broken controllers -via- throwing them at the wall.

I'd have to say, the fighting game that I've played the most is Final Fantasy: Disidia. I could imagine a lot of people might not consider it a real fighting game since it doesn't have as many options for moves. But the way I see it, the way Square Enix made this game, It's a lot more unique than most you'd play. and probably a lot less complicated.
