Is anything fixed in the HD remaster? Also, what's this about the Dark Aeons and Expert Sphere grid being new content? I played the game about 2 months ago and fought Dark Aeons USING the Expert Sphere grid.

An example of things that need fixing would be the :
-Blitzball glitch (if you stand behind your goalie, the AI just runs in circles)
-The absolute requirement of 100% completion in X-2 for the real ending
-The terrible controls in the Chocobo riding minigame
-The ridiculous tasks that you need to do for some of the legendary weapons (dodging 100 lightning bolts)
-Underpowered magic late in the game
-Balancing of Aeons. Anima and Magus Sisters are ridiculously strong, but Valefor, Ifrit, Ixion, Shiva and Bahamut remain EXTREMELY weak late in the game.
Other than the BB glitch none of that needs "fixing". It's okay to not like a game or certain aspects of a game you know.

OT: i still have the original copies of both, but i'll pick it up soley for the international version. I have a question? Does the game come on two discs? Because i would definatly sell x-2 on ebay, because i found it to be absolute shit.
1 Blu-ray disc is all it needs :)

Just preordered it... Damn uk being the backwater of the civilised world.

Looking forward to this; my girlfriend is a fan but won't play it on an emulator, so this should hopefully get her back into it. Maybe I'll finally make the effort to beat the dark aeons.

Dont use the expert grid btw if you are serious about late game power leveling there are less nodes and so its actually counterproductive to use it if you care about becoming as strong as possible and you will need all the help you need if you want to defeat all the dark aeons and Penance without using Yojimbo.
Can anyone verify this? I've never heard this before but if it's true I'm going to be very worried...
Not going to boot up the game and count them myself but heres an FAQ link:-

Just ctrl+f and type in international grid or expert grid

There are about 50 fewer nodes according to this which seems about right from memory. There are advantages to using it (early to mid game) such as more character customisation early on although likewise it also means you can mess up easier. Its nothing to worry about though the beginner grid is the original grid that Japan and America got the expert grid is just one that was added (as an option) to the international version just dont assume its better because its called expert and the other is beginner because in many ways it is not.
