No debt at all, but it's been difficult, I've got to work full time while I'm going to college to keep abreast of my expenses and school payments.

I write down everything to the smallest detail, and calculate everything. Hell, if I'm going to buy a laptop, I simply make sure I have enough to buy it and then some in cash to avoid any extra cost without having to dip in the bank.

Last thing I want to do is to pay something simple with a Credit Card, get a 4% jack-up on price, and be forced to dip into the bank only to get another 3% tag in there, and work full time only to then drown under a 30% extra rate just because I couldn't pay the bill on time by a single day.

I'm not in debt because I pay off my credit card in full each month.
And that is the proper way to used a credit card. Always pay it all off or it will eat you alive.

I don't have a credit card at the moment, I've got a fair amount saved at the moment. Upcoming car insurance and tuition fees will take a big chunk out of that.

There are certain things it's not really reasonable to expect to have paid in full in a single month. Household appliances, laptops, etc.

Nothing right now. A few days ago, I thought I was going to be literally £1 in debt and nearly started crying >_< I don't have a credit card, so no debt so far.

I'm not in debt as such.. but I do owe student loans. It'll be like £20,000 when I finish, something like that?

It would be nice to be able to go on without getting a credit card ever.. but it's unlikely.

Rich parents + free education = Money in the bank.

Sometimes the unfairness of the situation sickens me, oh well, I guess it meas something that I'm not being an arrogant dick about it.

I was just looking over my credit card statement, which could be better. How are follow gamers doing with their debt?

If you're not in USD, just estimate I guess.
I've got debt. Fair bit of debt. Don't have a rich mommy and daddy and they don't bail me out, so I'm left to it myself. I haven't loaned money for a couple of years now, these debts are being paid off from some time ago. Though my debt isn't credit cards it's loans.

Than you should not buy it on a credit card. Either get a bank loan or save up. Credit card interest rate will eat you alive.

No creditcard = no debt = no financial crisis. I like it that way. I'm ?5600 in the plus as a matter of fact. I love my parents for paying my education.

Ignoring student loans I've been okay credit card wise. Most I've had was just under £2K, but I paid it off by basically not spending any money going out ect for a couple of months.

I've have recently however been made redundant when the company I worked for went into liquidation, and they owe me the best part of £1000 in wages which I may never see. So that sucks, I have no job, I have rent, bills ect to pay so I may soon be back in debt.
Dammit, 4 months into my iphone contract.

EDIT
I just felt something was incorrect with that info i just posted, so I went back to check my bank records, I was only £1k in debt! and that didn't last long because I got a long awaited deposit back

I've got about $1600 in total debts. I was at $2500 a few months ago but I've been picking away at it.

I don't have rich parents, but I'm not in debt. My dad set up a prepaid college fund before I was even born and I worked hard to get a scholarship while also saving up money. I have a credit card, but I only use it to float money and pay for things online.

Well as a college student, regardless of if I have a credit card or not, I have to have at least 20000 USD in debt per year.
