There is no reason to hate smokers ... provided they smoke in their own homes or with the permission of those (all those in public) around them.

But then they hot box their home and end up smelling like ass smoked leather. At least the smokers in Los Angeles all rented apartments so they didn't hot box their house and smell like poverty. Now I'm in the midwest and poor people that smoke, smell... bad. It weird being able to smell uneducated poverty from around the corner.

Amazing. I leave for three days and a thread about the appreciation of fine alcohol and Cigars turns into some whiny people bitching that smoking ruins their lives... How low we have sunk as a society...

guys this isnt a thread about how much u hate smokers / non smokers... its a thread for people to share about themselves how they take advantage of some of the finer things in life... i dont mind you saying "i dont smoke" of course, otherwise it wouldnt be on the poll.. but can we please not start bitching at eachother??

Why don't you try bitching elsewhere? If you don't like the fact that I'm smoking on a bench somewhere you're more then welcome to sit somewhere else. The world does not revolve around you and it's not my responsibility to make sure you're comfortable at all times.

You don't seem to understand mate - in public, you have NO RIGHT to infringe on another without their consent. And contrary to what you might believe, stepping outside is not me giving you tacit consent to smoke in my presence. This is not about "making me feel comfortable" this is about you "not infringing on another by your actions."

i dont think that's really fair.. i mean, i see where you're coming from but still you cant be pissed at people for smoking outside their homes... even if it does do some damage to you.. i mean outside you can just walk away... and in places like taxi ranks or bus shelters there is usually no smoking... so really you probably wont be in a situation where you are FORCED to stand next to a smoker..
