As fantastic as this is, do u think that the industry will carry on to chug out "bad" games that support the stereotype "i want violence" gamer or start to make games that will challenge and hopefully once and for all silence those who argued and supported the opposition, in the retrospect of how close we came to losing our freedom?

Honestly, I don't see how the Supreme Court's decision could possibly change anything. The industry is the same as last week, and it's not going to change because we are talking about business. I suppose some artsy indie developers might get momentarily inspired by this whole deal, but beyond that I think the long term effects will be negligible.

This literally depends on you. If you buy the games that (this is the important bit) aren't just about violence, then the purely violent games will slowly stop being made. However, the market is demanding extremely violent games, so that is what is being made.

The industry will only stop making "bad" games when people stop buying them, not because of this.

I seriously doubt the devs are gonna care about the decision, other than they might feel a bit of relief knowing that they'll remain in business (a lot of them anyway)

I bet Zynga could care less. They'll just continue to produce their garbage the same way...

In other words, by winning, all we did was maintain the status quo.

Nothing will change. Perhaps a few more ambitious folks will arise, but besides that, nothing.

they dont see good or bad games they see moneymakers so to change things we should stop buying games like duke nukem
p.s. i have nothing against duke nukem but if we want better games we have to make sacrifices
