What FPS series have you enjoyed most? Each of them have their own perks that make them better or worse. Battlefield has always rode the 'destructible environment', while I always find CoD to have a better campaign. Halo has that interesting 'futuristic' vibe. Whatever the case, vote and reply to the topic if you're interested.

Note: I just pulled out things from the top of my head, in order to fill all 8 spots. Apologies for anything I missed.

Counterstrike is not a "G-mod FPS game". There are no retail "G-mod FPS games". G-mod and Counterstrike both use the Source engine, that's it.

For me, it is a tie between Quake, Halo, and Counterstrike.
All of them are so much fun to play. I only recently got back into Quake and Counterstrike from a 3 year hiatus of not having a PC to play games, and I am loving them so, so much.
Halo is and always will be my favorite console games ever, and I am really enjoying Reach as well.

I haven't played all the ones on the list, but I went with Halo. Some of the others are great, but Halo has always been my favorite FPS series. Smooth controls, a great story, awesome multiplayer, a freakin' amazing soundtrack, and the best campaigns of the series (Halo, Halo 3: ODST, and Halo: Reach) have a fantastic, well-constructed atmosphere. The series gets more hate than it deserves, considering most of it either boils down to "it's popular and I'm a slave to anti-pop culture hate" or "all the games copy it, so now there's no originality, so the game that was so good as to start these trends obviously sucks." And the story has far more depth than most seem to give it credit.

Ok, I'm confused. I'd say Half-life but until you add that option I won't vote.

I do like my Halo Reach. I do also like my BRINK, even if its a bit iffy connection-wise.

I think friends on your team is great fun, especialy combined with tactics and general tomfoolery.

Like I said, apologies for anything I've missed. I'm not that familiar with Source games, and I had always connected them with G-mod, seeing the similarities.

Is there not an option that says "Other" for you to use?

OT: I enjoy them all, but I think it'll have to be Halo that wins out for me.

Well, I think the "G-mod FPS games (Counterstrike etc)" is supposed to include Half-Life, but I couldn't vote for it since just reading that option almost made me cry.

Bioshock likely, despite my distaste for some aspects of the first I can't deny rapture is awesome and plasmids are rad.
Runner up is probably Fallout 3/NV.

I also give Mass Effect and All Points Bulletin honorable mention for not being first person but still being shooter-ee-ish and awesome.

I'm pretty hardcore with my FPS.
yeah I'm not gunna lie that was an outright fabrication, I'm just filling your list with role playing games and quasi shooters because they count and I don't usually like FPS very much.

Doom. Still plays like a dream and is exceptionally well balanced on the higher difficulty settings.

Favourite shooter franchise? Battlefield, definitely. I didn't like shooters until I started plating Battlefield 2 on the PC.

I did the same but i haven't liked the series since. Its just gone downhill especially since they moved to designing their games for console.
