As disappointed as I am in myself for saying this, the only one on that list that remotely interests me is Dead Island. As a once massive FPS fanboy, I find myself frequently uninterested in them these days... and I'm not really sure why.

I'd get F3AR but I haven't finished the first two.
I'd get Duke Nukem Forever but I doubt my parents would approve if they caught any of it.
Uhh... Dead Island?

...

Does Child of Eden count as a FPS? *

* Edit: FUCKNUTS. The PS3 release was delayed 'till September. ;_;

I grew up with the original Duke Nukem (You guys remember, the one before 3D? And yes, you fucking nostalgic fifteen year olds who never played anything beyond Manhtatten Project, there was something before 3D), so Taking Forever is at the top of the list. Dead Island seems like it could be good, but I'll wait for it to come out. Aside from that, the FPS genre has grown stale to me. Like bread left on the bench for a week...and then someone put it in a toaster and burnt it. My mouldy toast is buuurnt!

Battlefield 3 for sure. I've convinced all my friends to skip cod this year and buy Battlefield 3 with me. Success
Unless its a money thing I don't see why people can't just buy them both I thoroughly enjoy Battlefield but that doesn't mean I can't also enjoy COD.

If you just meant it as a money thing and weren't trying to rag on cod then fair enough.
Probably to play Battlefield together, it's better with friends.

I already have Bulletstorm and I'll be getting Duke Nukem as soon as its released.

As for the rest I will eventually try them out either by renting or by friendly borrowing.

Why's Bulletstorm on that list, that's been out a while now...

Anyway, of all of those, actually probably Bulletstorm. Waiting for it to get cheaper though.
Better question is, why is Portal 2 absent from this list? I know you don't technically "shoot" things, but it's still categorized as a first person shooter.

Anyway, out of the list I really have to go with Battlefield 3. Battlefield 2 was one of my favorite military-themed shooters. (and one of the only I could stand playing)

I still have yet to try Brink, so I can't say. I've heard mixed reviews both cheering and lamenting it. So, until I try it myself, I won't pass judgment.

That a success of the highest order, if you were nearby i would buy you a pint (a cheap pint like a strongbow/carling though)

It's a money thing with them, me not so much. I only really play first person shooters with my friends, so if they're only getting the one, then that's the one I'll be buying. I have oth Black ops and Bad Company 2. Liked BC2 more but playing it alone got tiresome.
