They're old to me now. I've been playing them since I was 13 (2003).

Most of them just feel like repeats of the same game. I don't find much fun in them anymore.

Yep and newgrounds is probably the best place for flash games in my opinion.

I disagree. I prefer Armor Games myself.

To me both sites have their merits. Armor has a wider variety and (to me) an easier-to-navigate site, while Newgrounds has an absolutely amazing community. It's all in what you want.

I love flash games because you don't have to spend any money on a possibly crappy game.

I wasn't that into flash games until I snooped around Escapist and discovered the Alt+Escape column. Those games are GOOD. Why did they stop?

I like that flash-games bring back a market for simple games. Yet i strongly dislike the flash-platform - it is slow, a ***** to program, and if one wants to download such games, one often enters legal gray areas. Then again, gimme flash any day over that fucking vendor-lockin iphone platform.

Best flash game of all time, perosnally, is thing thing. The third arena is probably the best but TT 4 is really fun too. Mindless violence is the best story... i would play this over Little big planet any day.

Flash games rule. Seriously. It's like all of the creativity from the NES and genesis age still lives on in them. There's a huge variety, all with champions. I recommend the momentum missile mayhem series. Games 2-4 all have sandbox modes with cheats. I also recommend Echos: Act 1, which includes a gameplay mechanic that I believe to be the future of RTS and FPS games. There's a ton of other good ones out there too.

Also, could we please not get into an argument over which flash game site is the best? Otherwise it'll be the goddamn console wars all over again. I prefer Armor Games, but that's just me.
