Ok at first I thought it was just my plugin being a douche and crashing and I needed to update it. But then I came across other people on the escapist stating that it was the video advertisements that were causing it to crash?

I hope this isn't true because if it is then it means that the person deligated with inserting them doesn't know how to use flash properly, thus annoying me further because I've got a degree in the Multimedia and someone who doesn't know what they are doing has a job I could do better. -.-

Anyway, back to the point:

IF THIS IS TRUE, how many other people are getting pissed off because of it?

I'm having a similar deal but a little bit different. On Escapist its working perfectly fine, no problems, but when I'm watching videos on other sites (ThatGuyWithTheGlasses.com for instance) sometimes the plugin will crash when i try to fullscreen the video, or if i have multiple tabs with videos on them (or the page has multiple videos on it) when i exit the video's fullscreen after watching it then the plugin will crash and i have to refresh the page(s) to watch the others. Its nothing major, i mean refresh a page that about 2 seconds but it does get kinda annoying after awhile when you just wanna watch something but you can't because the plugin crashed (especially if it crashes half way through the video when i come out of fullscreen to responsed to a friend on Steam or something). :(

firefox would occasionally cause this a few weeks ago, on the escapist and other sites like youtube, but its stopped now. No idea what had happened.

I use a Mac, and Flash player is already notoriously bad on Macs. However, the StarCraft 2 ads from a week or so ago were worse than most. They had my browser constantly sucking around 100% CPU (my computer has dual cores, so it was taking about half my processing power). As soon as I would close the Escapist windows or force quit the Flash plugin, everything would run fine, and now that the SC2 ads are gone, I don't have an issue any more either.

Almost anything that uses flash on my firefox has been crashing the last few weeks, even with only a couple of tabs open, not happened the last couple of days though, not sure what caused it, but ads are top of my list

I'm using google chrome and it's been doing it to me for a couple of weeks now, both on here and youtube or any site with videos for that matter. It doesn't happen all the time though :s

I figured it was just because I'm on the shitty little notebook laptop.
