This implies so hard that looks aren't subjective from one person to the next. Sure there are people everyone can agree are extremely attractive. Like Deschenel. But the average person, it varies from person to person who we find physically attractive.FalloutJack said:

I like attitude. I mean, sure if a person is just ugly, it might be harder to become attracted to them, but if they have the right attitude, I'll give them a go, I've had "ugly girls" turn into fucking fetishes for me, I'll be with an "ugly girl" who just blows my mind, and then I need to find porn with similar ugly features to that girl just so I can relive some of that crazy crazy moment.
I never lie that appearance is very important to me. Mostly because I work hard to maintain mine. I have had TONS of things in common with girls in the past but since I didn't find them attractive, I could never see myself being anything more than just friends. Beauty is something you need to work towards. I even enjoy non-conventional beauty so long as you are confidant and have charisma, then I will find you attractive.
Strangely I have found certain people unattractive, just because they have no charisma, some of them were by all accounts model-worthy but it felt like there was no substance. Hard to explain. I guess a good example is Lady Gaga, by all logic should be sexy but just ends up being neutral at best and appalling at worst.
Edit: then again, most girls just use me as arm candy.

Who says it has to be one or the other? Sure looks are a factor, but I'll take the average-looking nice girl over the smokin' hot slut any day on principle.
EDIT: I guess I like my sex to have more to it than "FEMALE! MUST BANG!" I date for companionship, sex is just a nice perk if things go well. Unlike my roommate who dives into anything with a hole between its legs.

The real flaw in the arguement comes down to money. A chick or guy, regardless of how they look, will marry and bang the person who's a millionaire regardless if that millionaire is missing a nose, has a twitching eye, is covered in zits, talks with a lisp, or is 80 years old.
There's also the view of the ugly person. While the cute person will look for another cute person, and some less-than-cute people will look for cute others, where does that leave the ugly bastard? The one that knows they're never going to get laid with a hot chick or guy? They have children too, believe it or not, and may find their significant other for reasons other than looks.
Lastly, some people, especially random bar guys, will more often than not bang a fat chick or ugly person 20 times before they end up getting tied with someone. Looks are a factor, but it ultimately comes down to laziness. They are technically banging said elephant chick because they believe 'there's less hassle and no games'. If you don't see these people now, you will when you're 30 and single. They're everywhere.

If I girl is an overly fat obese person I wont date her even if she has the exact same intrests as me and the right sort of personality. We could still probably be freinds though
My primary reason for this is more due to the fact that others will insult me for dating the fat chick. Her simply being unnattractive is asecondary reason
I do prefer personallity and intrests to beauty but I do have standards
