I don't often care about following people but I understand since I do feel uncomfortable with people following. I really paranoid anyways and it might be an assassin from the future.

I would say get a blow-up doll so it looks like your not alone, but that'd be way creepier.

I've never really felt that way but I can see where you might feel like that. Just be happy that your considerate enough to be considering that other people might see you as a creepy stalker dude.

I love those happy coincidences where you end up walking behind a cute chick with a great ass. Really livens up a commute.

My advice is don't worry about it dude, there's no law against looking.

It depends. I try to be on high alert in public. However I'm not bothered by people following me unless I get a bad vibe off their body language. Going into a store and walking in circles are common "Are you following me" tactics. Just go about your business. It happens.

Walking a street during the first wave of morning commute. You know the mindless trudge? Had that basically. Brain was hazed out thinking about something funny, so was smiling with my eyes looking forward-down.

Then i notice movement in front of me, a girl had turn around rapidly.

She stared at my goofy face, reckoned i stared back for a good second before i understood what she was thinking.

Those quizzical inquiring eyes.......

Nope unless they are a slower walker than me then I'll just speed up and pass them. I hate having to take small steps

A bit, yeah. I'm just kind of afraid that they'll think of me as a creepy stalker. And I'm totally not. Right, guys? Right.

Honestly, they have every right to feel creeped out, not your fault obviously. But these days, you just can't trust anyone, that's why I always carry my jackknife.

Nope... I usually walk fast enough to outpace a random jogger on the street (or close enough to it). If I'm following someone, I'll overtake them within a few moments most of the time...

I'm a fast walker with a bland expression.

So I hardly ever match someone else's speed, and when I do my expression makes it clear I'm not the least bit interested in anyone in the direct vicinity.

Weirds me out a little, but it's hardly ever an issue- I'm a naturally fast walker with long legs, plus I don't tend to dawdle, so I'm usually walking a lot faster than everyone around me. Getting stuck behind slow walkers is one of those inexplicably infuriating things for me.

No. I am possibly the least threatening individual I've ever met - posh and have never been in a fight - and thus find the idea that someone might conceive me as being even vaguely threatening quite hilarious.
Until you evolve into blastoise, then watch the fuck up! Hydro pump the shit out of your ass, fool.
This is a side thing but I so want your Avatar.

I am very conscious of my surroundings and I always get the feeling that someone is behind me despite there being no sound indications, so I usually gaze backwards to check who it is. I then walk forward and keep my distance so that they won't be so close to me. Sometimes if there is a bush I'll turn a corner and jump into it and wait for them to pass...... I just don't like people following me OK! I have no qualms about walking past a person who I'm following, even if it means jumping into a street for a second then going back on the sidewalk. As long as I saw the person before they were behind me I am OK, but if they are just behind me I freak out a bit, my body starts acting nervous and I always am worried its someone who wishes to do me harm.

It never is, of course, but I still have that thought in my head. Also, overreacting.. Maybe...[small]*sniff*[/small]...... But I have yet to meet person to dignify it.

I don't get bothered by it unless they are walking slow. I'm 6'3" and take large strides so that includes just about everyone.

I walk where I walk.
If someone happens to walk in the same direction that's not my problem.

My automatic response is to feel uncomfortable, but I don't let it stick. I just keep doing what I would normally do and if that makes them uncomfortable so be it.
