So which league do you follow the most in European Football?
Do you watch it? do you play the sport yourself? Do you have a favorite team or do you just follow overall the leagues and the sport?
I am myself a Liverpool fan and I watch the games that LFC play but basically nothing else interests me. Big games like Champions League finals and semis' I watch but I don't watch ManU, Wolves, Barca, Milan, Lille games in their league or their cups.
So I watch English football but only the games of the team I support (also the Academy games sometimes and womens too).
I have played football for 12 years but giving it up now as I started working and I don't have too much time for it.
I am from Finland and the football here isn't too good so I looked up were my favorite footballer (Sami Hyypiä) played when I was 10 (2001) and started following him, then I got to supporting the club and I've even been to Anfield a few times (if you follow a league that is far away from you and you support a big club or follow the sport in general I highly recommend going to a game, the atmosphere is something really special)
The poll is limited and I am sorry for only having 5 countries and then the 3 other options.

I don't really watch football, but when I occasionally do, it's because I am watching the local team.
So I watch Tippeligaen. The Norwegian league.

I like the English Championship, especially seeing how next season will have all my local teams in it.

And remember, we all hate Leeds scum.

Considering I work for a sports TV station (the technical bit, not the journalist bit), I end up watching plenty of games from several leagues, mostly Italian, French and Spanish. Well and the Slovenian too, of course. And what can I say, the only thing that marginally interested me was the lower end of the Spanish league where Zaragoza pulled a rather impressive comeback after it was almost certain they'd be relegated, while Villareal took the fall.

I'm more of a hockey person, though.

Well it was the championship (English), but considering the very recent play-off final...

It'll be the premiership!

Carlton Cole you beautiful bastard.

Why no love for us Americans and our MLS? MLS is the top league in the world with the best players and the....alright, sorry. You can't see it but I can't say that with a straight face at all.

As an American, I don't get to follow any soccer because we evidently don't believe it actually exists. I get to catch the odd English Premier league game that ESPN accidentally programmed but I really can't follow the sport when I have to keep skipping chapters.

Mini-rant time: Why the hell can't ESPN3 just show all the damn games? All English Premier games are shot for TV and what good does it do them to NOT let me have access to them? I would LOVE to get into soccer and following my own team but I get to see so few games that I can't really choose a favorite without just band-wagoning. This is why I wish the World Cup was more often as the sports channels realize that this is KIND OF a big deal in the world and show all the damn games.

*I voted English because it's what shows up on ESPN most often

I've never really followed it, I only watch the occasional match in the big fuck-off Europeon/World championships and even then it's just an excuse to go to the pub during the day.

I much prefer rugby. I find it more exciting and the players are, well, yum.

What, you don't think Ronaldo is sexy?

Now look what you've done!
I'm sure he's lovely but rugby players have that whole 'I could toss you over the Great Wall of China if I felt like it' thing going on.

No, he's not.

If you so much as breath at him he will fall over clutching his ankle, no matter where you are.

People who follow football will know what I'm talking about.
Oh, is that the guy who literally just jumps on the ground without touching anyone and gets away with it?

Pretty much yeah.
It's a shame that football has taken the turn it has. As said in OP I played myself in Finnish division 4 and there the football is rather physical since there are a few in every team with somewhat good technique but the rest are just physically big and therefor I hate the diving thing that has come into football. I like players who keep up and won't fall just because it's an opportunity but stay on their feet until they actually can't (someone actually sweeping their legs or something)

Ever thought about streaming?
You can do it the illegal way if you want but there are plenty of tv channels who stream via the web the competitions.
My dad pays about $10-20$ for a skyport channel that only shows darts whenever that's on, so when there are a few big tournaments in a month he pays the fee and gets to watch with "TV quality" from his computer. I guess there are similar things for football.

I'm a huge, huge, hugehuge Spurs fan. So yeah, I love the Prem.
Bundesliga football is mindnumbingly boring, Serie A is defense, the Spanish League is two teams, the French and Dutch Leagues aren't televised and...yeah.

I'm also a FK Austria fan, so as a native I feel obliged to enjoy the Austrian Bundesliga too.

You are a Spurs fan?

You have my deepest condolences, that is most tragic.

OT: I'm not really into football at that much, but if I had to choose a team, Liverpool all the way baby!

I'm sure it exists in some shape or form but I don't want to watch soccer on my PC. Yes, there are steps I could take to get it over to my TV but this is a decent amount of money and time that I have to use to try to get into a sport and it's just not worth it to me. I have a VGA port but it just makes the picture look ugly on the HDTV : (

My new hope is that Ziggy Wilf (Minnesota Vikings owner; American Football) does indeed bring a MLS team into Minnesota as he states that he wants to. Then I can get professional soccer without having to pay a bunch of money (or jump through a bunch of hoops) to get it.

But hey at least we've finished above Liverpool for the last 3 seasons without spending over £100million on players;););) <3.
