1080p here. 37" LCD. It's beautiful. I occasionally hook my PC up to it, and play it on that screen. No more cramped screen for me while playing a busy game!
That's not technically accurate - in the UK they're switching the terrestrial analogue broadcast over to a digital signal - they'll still be plenty of SD channels transmitted but your SD TV will no longer be able to understand the transmission and you'll need a 'freeview' style set-top box to decode them.Duck Sandwich said:Hadn't a clue. Then again, I pretty much never actually watch TV anyways. I use my computer for watching movies/videos on the internet.Supertegwyn said:You do know that SD TV is being fazed out and soon you won't be able to actually use your TV as a TV right?
A 52" LED Sony Bravia for me. Games like a charm.
You and me both, mate. We have to stick together, you can't mention having an SDTV on the internet without everyone and their mother demanding you go out right now and buy an HDTV.Nouw said:SD T.V. I kid you not, I'll probably never get an HD T.V.
Yep, those were the days! Used to have one of those in every bedroomAbandon4093 said:Ahhh, I remember the days when my 15" SD-VHS combi telly was stylish. I was the talk of the town I was. With my TV that didn't need a separate VHS unit.Nouw said:SD T.V. I kid you not, I'll probably never get an HD T.V.
I used to be in that situation, then I got a HDTV for Christmas. Nothing wrong with a good ol' SDTV.Nouw said:SD T.V. I kid you not, I'll probably never get an HD T.V.
To be fair, if you can't afford to upgrade, and have the common sense not to saddle yourself with hundreds in debt just to have a 'new' thing, you can now pick up huge old TVs, nice, good quality ones for zero money on places like Freecycle.RedEyesBlackGamer said:I used to be in that situation, then I got a HDTV for Christmas. OP: 720, I think. I don't know.
