I haven't played wow in almost 7 months now and i can't say i miss it that much but i still know all quests in northrend in the back of my head so i guess my subconscious miss it.

Alliance all the way.
I started out on the Horde side when my server (Hakkar) went live, then switched sides to play with my friends. I've periodically tried to go back to Horde, but I just can't get into it. I don't know if it's a matter of being accustomed to Alliance, or what, because I love Tauren, and the Orc lore (as well as the BE lore) is pretty interesting. Also, the Horde has the better battle cry. Alliance needs to really come up with something (How about "Straight outta Stormwind!" or "Alliance! Huzzah!"?).

I quit in 2006, only returning shortly a few times after that. I started as Horde and always remained Horde. I don't know, I guess it was because Horde seemed somewhat the 'good' side as (at least on Kalimdor). I heard that they're removing Thrall and Bane for some less savy characters so that's probably gone.
That and Alliance always had the reputation of having the somewhat less than intelligent players (whether that was actually true or not (anymore)). Plus there was a resentment against Alliance because there were more Alliance players back then, and some people assumed that Blizzard favoured Alliance (Paladin more useful in raids than Shaman, Horde cities having more entrances etc.) that made the 'underdog' group feeling stronger.
I sometimes miss my 30/0/21 Orc Shaman. For the Horde!

Alliance: More erratic, also that Alliance have no class trainer on the Kalimdor past Darkshore wich is very not fun

I played pretty much entirely alliance for 5 years, mainly just cus all my friends were alliance as well, but Ive gotten so bored of my main, a night elf druid, that I actually am swapping to horde on tuesday, gonna make me a goblin hunter, and assuming they still have the class available (havnt checked since a little while before 4.0 launched) a goblin shaman.
