I dunno, normal guys?
Not too androgynous not too masculine. Somewhere in the middle. I guess closer to masculine? But I'm not into `blokey` type dudes.
Though if the dude uses `alpha male` or `emasculated` seriously in a sentence, then he's automatically not sexy to me.

Some of these responses make me wish I had a close up of myself with a "How you doin'?" look.

(Bi girl here.) As a teenager my type (for guys) was definitely feminine/androgynous. As I grow older I'm starting to appreciate facial hair and a broader body figure, although I still go wild for longer hair on guys.
Sorta the same here. I used to prefer skinnier guys when I was younger, but now that I'm older I'm more attracted to athletic figures and more masculine features. Maybe being in the army had something to do with that.

I have always thought, thought, that guys start too look a lot better as they get into their late 20's and 30's. I'm not really that attracted to men who look very young (I don't think I ever had a single crush on a boy in high school).

Is that you in your profile picture? If so, I like your hair. You ought to get that close up. :)
Here's the best I have, a year old picture I use whenever asked for one. Since I don't have a camera or get my picture taken often.

Hurray for blurry pictures!

My hair's longer now and I have some facial hair.

I'm a gay guy and I prefer masculine men, I don't mind more feminine looking guys but they just don't do as much for me

None of those options really, I just like a guy to be 'normal'
I don't like gym buffs who spend more time flexing in front of the mirror or time at the gym instead of anything else.
I don't like girly or effeminate who wear more make-up than me either. I like them to be hygienic, washing, brushing their teeth and I don't mind hair gel or moisturiser.

Nothing against guys that want to wear more make-up than most women, I just personally think it looks awful.

Okay, I'm a guy and I couldn't choose between effeminate guy and androgynous guy, because as far as I can tell a guy who looks effeminate is androgynous... But either's good really.

As a guy who's bisexual-with-a-male-preference[footnote]Think pretty much gay but I still happen to have a small desire for pussy every now and then[/footnote], I'd have to say I'm more into androgynous or effeminate men rather than uber-manly men. Overly masculine guys just... don't do anything for me, and a very muscular build is more of a turn off rather than a turn on.
Yeah, I'm with this guy.

No seriously, I mean... I'm with this guy.

I'm attracted to different kinds of people, but David Bowie (the object of my super-huge crush he's just UGH) is pretty damn androgynous, so let's go with that. Although I wouldn't mind more muscly guys...not at all...mmm.

I prefer effeminate men, in personality and somewhat in looks.

I really like beards however, but too much muscle is eck.

You, madame, have offended me! Why'd you exclude the bi guys!?

:p

Anyways, I prefer androgynous guys. I think generally I just like the whole blurring-the-line-between-genders thing, which may be why I've been attracted to a silly number of lesbians.

Well as a selectively bi guy (is that a thing? Like, I generally stick to women but there are a few guys who just, well, y'know...). The only question is; where does Leon S. Kennedy fit on that scale?
Yes, that is a thing. I'm in that boat too, but I just call myself bisexual 'cuz I'm all cool like that.

Guy here. Not too into the whole binary sexuality thing. So I guess I'd say bi, but honestly, just look up Alfred Kinsey and his scale of sexual attraction. It's more nuanced than saying 'I like chicks/dudes/both'. But to put it simply, I'd say I'm as attracted to women as the average straight male with a healthy (and quite built-up) libido, and am also attracted to guys, but more rarely. I guess you could call me picky.
Right, so that's out of the way.
I'd say I like...hm, good question. Orlando Bloom and Johnny Depp are cute, and Adrien Brody just looks good. Hairy/muscled isn't necessarily a turn-off, but when you're Schwarzenegger or santa claus, that's kind of not sexy. And I do suppose I'm not too turned on by fat guys either. Yeah, ugly truth I guess.
Personalitywise, though, I'm not sure. I know I have a thing for people full of pep and spunk, but I've seen very few guys like that here (I guess they tend to be either aloof and 'cool' or narrow-minded hillbillies who think emotions are for sissies). But I will admit to liking a firm hand on the reins as well. Just...just so long as they're not Christian Grey's and holding a whip. The man's mentally unwell and doesn't understand BDSM.

I hope my rant made some semblance of sense.

What about all of the above?

There needs to be an "all of the above."
Amen. One of everything please, I'm in no place to be picky!

But seriously, I (a straight female) think the only thing I would exclude would be the polar ends of this spectrum, i.e. an overly effeminate girly guy or an overly masculine Arnold Schwarzenegger type.

When I was younger, I liked the pretty boys. Now that I'm an adult, I love me some yummy manly men with facial scruff and muscles and mmmm yum. Of course, when it comes to actual dating, I don't have as much of a preference with looks, but I'm thinking mostly of actors and dudes I see at the store. I like some pretty, though. I like pretty eyes.

Honestly, the easiest way to sum up my "type" is Michael Fassbender. That man fills almost every preference I have in a man, both physically and personality-wise.

Oh, and straight female here, for clarification purposes.
