Mace to the face. Just something satisfying about it.
I recommend the cursed Mace of Molag Bal. It sucks magic-wielding folks empty of mana, kills them pretty darn fast and people all over Skyrim will freak out when you have it equipped. So much fun. I intend to try it out with a magic-centric character eventually. Should serve me well.

I'm currently level 52 and have been using the Mace of Molag Bal ever since I completed his quest and got it back at level 5 (I took a carrage to Markarth as soon as I reached Whiterun).

I may personally prefer swords, but having a Daedric Mace at the beggining of the game has caused me to veer towards the maces.

There isn't a option for "Anything I can get my hands on" I use the most powerful at the time I haven't specialized yet.

I mostly kill with dagger because of 15x sneak attack bonus. But if I'm spotted, I fight with sword and a dagger: one for reach, other for quick counter attacks. This setup does not allow blocking, but defense is for pussies.

So far I turned from sword to axe and now a dawrven mace, it does the most damage and I'm kind of slow to ract anyway so it gives me a chance to think of how to strike next.

The other hand is for restoration magic, which I have lots of enchanted apparel dwarf armour and Mara items to help out.

Swords. I've never been a fan of the other weapons, especially two handed. Just too slow for me.

Always loved axes, always go for them first above other weapons.

So, I've got an archetypical orc warrior running around in heavy armor with a Battle-Axe, and a secondary Kajhiit spell-caster who uses a longsword...but I prefer the axe. Not going to expound on the benefits of it, it'd be wasted here.

But I will say the instant the modding tools are released, and Hand-to-Hand is made into its own Skill-tree and is given the advantages it deserves, my orc is going to turn into a brawler.

I usually go for two Legendary Blades Swords. With proper enchanted gear, each does about 212 damage (Smithing and Enchanting are so broken...). But for the final battle, I rolled with axes. Seemed more Nordic that way...

I've been using Maces with Frost damage and shields. I did try using the sword once, but the speed really didn't make that much difference in my eyes.

Dagger.

15 times critical FTW.

One-shotting Giants never gets old.
Wear dark brotherhood armor and it goes to 30x, which is kind of ridiculous because the few enemies that have that much heath cant't be snuck up on anyway.

Sword and board all the way. The fast attacks from the sword allow you to fully take advantage of the time slowdown from the shield's Quick Reflexes perk, making any enemy who power attacks you toast.

x30? Pfft, try x60. Dual wield the daggers and swing them simultaneously.

That's still 2 attacks that are each x30. So it'd be 2x30, not 1x60.

Sorry, nitpicky part of my brain got loose there. No worries, I've glued it back in place now.

with 100 enchanting and all the perks, enchant all your apparel with improved unarmed damage, get the fists of steel perk, and kajjit claws help, but unneccesary. without the claws, you get +100 damage per siingle punch. and the unarmed executions are the most badass thing you will ever see
