I'll probably got to hell for everything that I've done so far! If hell exists that is.
Maybe going to hell is being sent back here to this planet! That would make a lot of sense!

Well, just think. Whatever you do that you know is wrong. That's just how it goes. And us, living by our sinful nature, are lucky that we can ask for forgiveness.

if i remember right we are all born into sin and the only way to go to heaven is to have strongly believe in god. But when it comes to sins anything we do is considerd as a sin and any sin can send you to hell, but if u believe in god (non of that wishy-washy maybe he is maybe he's not real stuff) then your sins will be forgiven and you can go to heaven. at least thats how i think it works.

Surely if I don't follow a religion then that religion's rules don't apply. Therefore I will live forever on Earth?

Sorry, I just had to write an Essay on 'Old Man and The Sea'...

Actually, that book is sinfully boring. I might have given a crap about all the life-affirmation issues and so forth, if the book wasn't about ninety pages too fucking long.

I prefer Dante Aligheri's definition of Hell. The vast majority of people end up in Purgatory and just work off their sins before going to Heaven.

Hell is for people who don't think they've done anything wrong. It's not the sin, it's not whether they think 'Jesus Saves' or some other cryptic nonsense, it's whether they are truly sorry for whatever awful thing they did that warrants punishment. The people in Dante's Inferno are all selfish, repugnant assholes who blame all their problems on other people, including God, and take no responsibility for their conduct.

Or as Nathaniel Hawthorne once put it, the only unforgivable sin is to believe that there is an unforgivable sin.

According to religious folk, is there anything we're not going to hell for?
Nope lol it's the concept of original sin, that is we are born with a sin nature. According to the Bible there is none righteous no not one, and all our righteousness is as filthy rags.
But God knew we where not perfect so He gave a way out.

Wasting your life for a fictitious god. don't get me wrong killing, raping, etc. IS wrong but wasting the ONLY LIFE you have, is hell for you have wasted your time on this planet to insure you might get in to a heaven that doesn't exist.
How is going to Church on sunday and trying to model my life after the Bible a waste? I can assure you I have plenty of fun and all that jazz.

After banging Satan's wife, I've already been banned from entering Hell in the first place. So none of this concerns me.

As long as you don't completely ruin somebody's life, or end it for that matter, you're ok. I always wondered tho, does killing bugs count as murder to God. If that's the case I'm screwed, St. Peter will show me 500000 pictures of mosquitoes squished, poisoned and burned.

If I'm correct (and I am), Christ taught forgiveness and peace as the most important aspects of ones life. So wouldn't it be safe to assume that no sin will get you into hell? Although I may be wrong on this, I've been taught the only requirement to get into heaven was the belief in god, but of course you get back to the forgiveness thing and you assume that those who don't believe also get into heaven, although I'd like to believe that people who belittle others faith without a full understanding of it (you know who I'm talking to) go to hell, but that would be a horrible double standard on my part.

Well I've already committed Sloth, Envy, Avarice, Gluttony, Wrath, and Pride. So since I haven't committed the last one, I'll get off with a 100 years of purgatory.

Dayum! That's hardcore...

Anyway, I think that the only thing that gets you sent to Hell (or other place of discomfort) is the belief that it exists. And you are sent there immediately, not after death, because you spend your time trying to avoid it rather than doing anything for reasons other than avoiding it...

Hmm common misunderstanding of God. We like to portray Him as this perfectly loving everything turns out okay no matter what kind of God. (because we like to feel good rather than convicted)
But rather He is a powerful just, and wrathful God who can not allow sin into heaven. Only way though to heaven is a faith+repentance of sin(not belief in God) that Jesus is the key to heaven.

Sorry to sound preachy.

Sins so horrible and evil that I'll be satan's lapdog, sins so deluded and hedonistic that people will orgasm and children will run screaming after I have commited to them...

Sins...of a solar empire! :D

This but with improved grammar. :p
Hell doesn't exist, it's just a scare tactic.

Oh and if they do exist, I've got a nice ass-kicking for God AND the Devil.
