Well, I'm an atheist, so I don't believe in Hell. But if it did exist, rapists, murderers and child molesters should be a headin' there.

And above hell there should be a "sort of bad people but don't really deserve hell" level. And it can have Pirates, Vikings, Ninja, video gamers and atheists in it.

I hate to inform everyone, but... We are ALL going to hell, faith in Christ or no. Every one "bad" thing you have done or thought of doing has bought you your own little corner of the Inferno. Lets face it, I'm not religious to any "faithful" extent, but even I know that we are god's unwanted flock... sorry for the metaphorical crap, but thats what most religion is anyway.

Forgiveness can be achieved by ANYONE that repents... thats bull. God IS NOT FORGIVING. He is the epitome of ORIGINAL sin. God created man in his image, thus, God is created in ours. God may have been good and benevolent ounce, but look at the vaster majority of people world wide. If God exists he is hardly goodly and he is not forgiving...

well, I'm an athiest so I don't think any sin sends you to hell. I don't like theft however, I just don't really see why people need to do it.

I kicked a baby, once. I'm pretty sure I'll go to hell for that. I also sold beef products to devout hindus, remaining silent when they made the mistaken assumption that said products were pork. Though I don't think God has any problem with that.

Y'know, I've never really bought into the whole "You're a horrible bad evil person and you deserve untold suffering forever, but you can go to Heaven solely because Jesus is willing to bail out your sorry ass." thing. Does anyone else find that to be depressing?

Even then, don't worry about Hell. The "End of Days" is gonna be here in a few short years... and as for Hell, you can either writhe in agony until you no longer feel any sort of pain or anything else for that matter. Hell is not that bad, accept it as it is and you can Rule there...

None, Hell is not a concept in the Jewish faith which makes me think it and Satan were added later by the Romans when trying to stretch Christianity over the melting pot of other faiths they used to help 'ease' others into at least accepting Roman rule. I think worst case scenario you are with god in the afterlife or you simply are not, though I'm not sure if thats how it works or not.

Still I don't see what the Daughter of Loki has to do with any of this anyways.

How come God doesn't go to hell for his sins?
namely:
- kidnapping: Jonah and the whale
- Genocide: Sodom and Gomorrah
- Vanity: creating us in his image
- accessory to crimes: he created us, thus he should share responsibility for our wrongdoing
- arson: appearing as a burning bush to Moses
(I'm kidding God's alright...oh I am so damned...)

I've been wondering about that saying... Straight to hell.. Is there an other way? A beautiful tour of what you did not get into, like heaven? Maybe even visit purgatory to meet the people who were slightly less horrible than you? Is the tour guided by Jesus? God should open a travel agency..

On topic, though, it depends on God, or Allah, or whichever of the religions has it right (assuming any do and the real creator of this world isn't a 3-legged fish-plant who has tea with butterflies on a lovely Xquizelr-afternoon, or it's simply all poppycock and there is no afterlife. Wouldn't that be mighty dull though?). If said deity is an ass he(or she, or it, but for simplicity's sake, he) will tend to not forgive people and carry grudges and such. If he is as loving kind and benevolent as they claim he is he will probably be blinded by his own benevolence and let everyone into heaven. If he's just some kind of authority figure, punishing folks based on reasoning not unlike many people's fathers, then who knows, Manson could be up there, talking trash about Mother Teresa who is burning down in you-know-wheresville. Or not. Depends on how drunk dad, er, God is.

Disclaimer: None of the above is meant to in any way offend anyone. If you do feel offended by the contents of the post, please be assured that they are in no way meant as such. Well, maybe the last three sentences..a little.

It's not horrible and depressing... it is what it is. God wasn't always the evil bastard that he is... we as a species have made him into what he is know. Thats right, HIM! Is there really any doubt?

sorry the concept of hell is ridiculous, as well as heaven, and god. so I'm not to worried about it :) The reason we shouldn't sin, and I mean things that are actually bad and not just deemed wrong by the public, is BECAUSE we shouldn't. Having the threat of hell hanging "over" our heads should not be a factor in why we shouldn't do bad things.

Thanks for reminding me of something I learned from Age of Mythology. For those of you that don't know, Christians got the name for their underworld (Hell) from the Norse goddess of the underworld (Hel/Hell/Hela).

Heaven is a horrible place... A tyrannical god, angles that either hate you or could give less of a crap about you, and an eternity of ignorance and complacency. Also in my research the populace of Hell has had our backs more than that of heaven (I'm going to hell for that one). Think about it, what have angels done for humanity compared to what demons? Both offer inspiration, but angles limit that inspiration to their or God's "glory", demons offer up any information that you are willing to trade for. Understanding and knowledge seems to be the poison dagger in God's heart when it comes to humanity.

Religion may be a heaping pack of lies, but it has alway been an interesting study for me. It also makes a good topic of debate, if you have the balls to actually argue against it.
