I am going to purchase two games soon: Dragon Age 2 and Final Fantasy XIII. I would like some help deciding which system for both. Dragon Age 2 will be between PC and Xbox and Final Fantasy XIII will, of course, be between PS3 and Xbox. So which should I choose? Ohh and don't try and dissuade me because these are my choices.

Im going to have to say go with DA2 for the PC, if the modding tools are anything like they were for origins you will see plenty of high quality mods in no time that will give you hours of additional gameplay. As for Final Fantasy I have no input because i have not played it yet.

Dragon Age 2 for the PC because Bioware have a nasty habit of their console versions being kinda sucky. You have better and more precise control over the game on the PC version. If it's Bioware, always go for the PC version.

FF13 for the PS3 because it was designed for the PS3 first and then ported to the 360. Plus it comes on one disk which is a lot more convenient than the multi disk 360 version. And I think the PS3 version is just over all better looking and more optimized for the previous statement of it being designed for the PS3 first.

I'd say DA2 on pc, even though I won't play it on pc. Console gamer, here, and if I had a good pc, I'd get DA 2 for it. But Ill have to stick with my xbox/ps3. And juust steer clear of FF13. I never told someone to stay away from a game before. But that game was just so dissapointing. It couldve been so much.

DA2-PC

FF13-PS3

[sub]Bayonetta-XBOX[/sub]

Sad thing is that I already own Bayonetta for the Xbox
Good.

Those are the only multi-platform titles where I can say one version is clearly better than another.

[sub]Except maybe the way Rockstar and Epic games are crippled on the PC.[/sub]

Well all I can say is good luck, I beat the game, and didn't have fun until, the open world part. And it was amazing, only problem I lost all will to keep playing, so I rushed through. I look at at when I played the game, and it was amazing. Hell I remember more from the game, then I do Mass Effect. Its just it was a bad game, hell it was good. Its just not what I wanted from a final Fantasy game. I'd say play in small parts and you should be fine.

FFXIII - PS3. It just looks better. That may not be much, but I can't tell any other difference between the two. So if you have both consoles, go PS3 there.

DA2 - I have no idea. Normally I'd say go PC for any RPG, particularly ones from Bioware. The modding communities are excellent for all of those, and add excellent replay value. That said, I played the demo for Dragon Age 2 on both the PC and the Xbox, and I enjoyed the 360 version much, much more. Combat felt a lot more seamless than on the PC, and it didn't feel as much like World of Warcraft with a pause button.

The fact that I had terrible sound bugs on the PC version helps, too.

Dragon Age 2: I'd suggest you get that for the PC. Heck, even a bit of tweaking on the video section and it'll look at least twice as good as its Xbox counterpart (even better if you've a DirectX 11-compatible GPU).

Final Fantasy 13: Get that for PS3. It looks better, and only uses one disk, as opposed to the Xbox counterpart, which has three disks, and do you really want to switch out disks?

DA2 on the PC, judging by how DA1 panned out.

FFXIII on the rubbish bin.

I played DA:O on both PC and PS3 and preferred the console version, so I'd say get DA2 on 360. And FF XIII on PS3 is a no-brainer is you have the choice between the two versions: only one disc and uncompressed graphics.

That... didn't make any sense.

I used to be a bigger console fan, but now it seems everything works better overall on the PC.

I also hate FF13, played it and didn't enjoy myself. The combat was interesting but it stopped there.

Anime-style subtitles for your convenience.

"I looked at the free roaming section when I participated in the game, and it was impressive. I remember more from Final Fantasy XIII, than I remember from Mass Effect. It is not that it was a bad game, no, it was good. It is simply not what I expected from a Final Fantasy game. I would recommend that you play the game in short sessions and you should enjoy it thoroughly."

Also, "people die when they are killed".

Final Fantasy 13 is good if you like the visuals and can get sucked into a world quickly. If not, then you'll quickly throw this game aside. Gameplay is extremely limited to basically one button prompt and there isn't much strategy involved in the later levels, as you can usually grab 3 of your most powerful members and destroy most enemies with them.

I'd go for Dragon Age on the PC.

FF XIII for PS3

One disc seems less cumbersome.

I imagine the immersion is ruined when you need to stop and swap discs.

I would go xbox for DA 2, and PS3 for final fantasy. No particular reason I chose PS3 for final fantasy other than because its the series classic system, seems more appropriate.

As for dragon age, I just hate PCs.

Dragon Age 2 on either system. I believe it is going to be a fantastic and game and look forward to it. Doesn't matter what you pick it up for.
