Poll: Forget the names. If you could change or augment one part of your body, what would it be?

With all the name-change stuff going on and my repeatedly saying 'Barry' as a running gag, I decided to switch things up a bit and go the way of spontaneous human mutation/augmentation.

Yes, this is indeed a EUNOPF! thread, so laugh it up.​

So basically, you're just minding your own business when you find a machine that will allow you to change one key aspect of your body, such as an organ or a limb or something to do with glands. Not outright genetic manipulation, but something simple. It is, after all, a roadside vendor (probably in Japan, as those things have EVERYTHING). The machine states that it will only allow one vital change at this time because the human body was not made to withstand the constant stresses the alteration can unleash.

So, what would YOU do in this case?

Wicked fast reflexes. I want a spinal/brain implant that makes everything I perceive move half as fast.

I'd probably get a brain defect and go insane, but lets assume not.

Well asides from the obvious one(for me anyway),I'd totally want a monkey tail because then it'd be like a third hand and I can just go around grabbing things and holding on to objects to keep me from falling.Though my pants budget would be trough the roof...unless maybe I wore a skirt or something.

I'm thinking skirts wouldn't be the way to go with a tail...unless of course you're a bit of an exhibitionist

OT: Not sure if I'm allowed to bundle it as one thing, but generalized sensory enhancement. I want to be able to see farther than anyone else (and in the dark, through fog, etc.), hear sounds normally reserved for animals with better senses, and taste even more goodness in a nice plate of steak and mashed potatoes. If I can't get everything, then I would have to go with either vision or hearing as those would be the most useful.

Either that or an augmentation that causes my organs to explode like the Hydrogen Fuel Cell of the T850 Terminator model. Only I get to choose when it goes off.

Actually, now that I think about it further, perhaps a super-strong exoskeleton. That would make tasks like disaster relief easier.

You could just cut holes in the backs of all of your trousers (and underwear) :-D

OT: Something that allows me to fly, I would say wings but they would most likely have to be massive to sustain my body weight whilst flying, so I'd settle for an inbuilt jetpack, powered by my own body energy. My food bill might go up but think of all the transport costs saved!

I'd love to be a bit taller. I'm moderately tall for a woman at 5'7", but ideally I'd be around 5'10" or 5'11." I think I'd generally look better if my body were a bit more "stretched out," plus I have a lot of tall friends and it'd be nice to not be the short one

That or whatever shenanigans go on in movies where someone becomes a superhero and instantly has the perfect musculature and fitness without any of the effort. That'd suit me just fine.

I accepted that I'm short... ain't nothing to do with that.
I'm used to my horrible posture, and the pain is not unbearable.
I don't much mind being unattractive, I've given up on finding romance a long time ago.
I'm strong enough to do most types of physical work I can think of, so that's irrelevant.

Sine I only get one wish, I'll go with enhanced sociability, so I can stop being a hermit.

I feel like my brain is in desperate need of an upgrade...I was born in 88 so it could just be that I got mine on clearance from earlier in the decade. I could really use a new one or at least an upgrade. It would be great to remember things in general, not just names.

Aside from my brain though I want a tail. I'm thinking something along the lines of a cat's tail and Hell, cat ears to go along with it.

fun fact, back in 2nd grade or so (back when I still had a bit of faith) I prayed to the heavens and, Gods to please, please, please give me an extra set of arms. That didn't come to be...

I'm happy with most of my body's features. I would however love to have striking blue eyes. Brown eyes aren't bad, but my hair is brown too, so it's kinda boring.

Obviously having better brain function would be nice too, but as far as external features go, gotta go with blue eyes.

I would always be in tip top shape no matter how lazy I can get especially when I eat junk foods! This is including fitness so that I don't get a heart attack despite my body look like they#re in good condition.

I like the idea of the uberman sleep cycle, but I think the evidence points to it actually being impossible. But let's go further than that here: I want a brain that can run on only 20 minutes of sleep (purely REM) a day.

I want to fall to 4% body fat and start over. That would be so nice. I don't think I'd botch it this time, either.
