I did this yesterday following an old quad trail behind a friends house, I choose the path that looks more interesting.

I normally go right. Because I know the path on the right.
Sure, I know the path on the left, but it is more confusing.
So I prefer the path on the right...

Focusing on one definite way does help.

If I can see no visual difference between paths. Left it is.
