Just a thought... Connecting generators to each of the founding fathers of USA, could solve the entire energy-crisis, thinking of the speed and velocity they must be spinning in their graves atm.
Hm?

Benjamin Franklin since he seems to have invented everything.

Printing Press
Water Flippers
Arch Design on Water Fountains
Electricity (not really, but still a cool story)
Orgies with French hos.

Always the right choice

Alexander Hamilton is a close runner up. Killed a man? Big whoop. But dueled a man? Pretty manly.

My vote goes to Alexander Hamilton, for he was killed in a gun duel with Aaron Burr, and thats badass.
Since when is losing a duel and dying "badass"? :/

It isn't him dying thats badass...well actually it kinda is.

It badass because he died for what he believed in, in a honorable and masculine way.

The printing press was invented by the German Johannes Gutenberg in 1440. (This I know, since its something my history-teacher liked to repeat over and over again, as it is part of his theory of how the renessance began.)

Dont really see, how designing a water fountain is an invention :p
In 1821, the danish H.C. Ørsted discovered and electromagnetism, which the french André-Marie Ampère later discovered, could be used to generate electrocity. (Wikipedia)
Sorry mate :p

And btw. Thomas Edison did in fact not invent the electric light bulb. Tesla did ;)

Glad someone actually does research.

All the things I mentioned, other than flippers, was just publicized by Franklin.

He popularized the first printing press company

he actually did invent water flippers when he wasn't as fast a swimmer as his brothers so he got pieces of wood flattened like a fish's fins and attached them to his arms and legs

the original design for a water fountain was for it to shoot straight up but Franklin decided that the arch design for the water was more sanitary

I didn't think anyone really believed he invented electricity,

He really did have ceremonial orgies with French Ho's.

Huh. That's actually a tough choice. I'd probably say it's a toss-up between Ben Franklin and James Madison (seriously, dude was brilliant, and wrote, edited, and defended the Constitution almost singlehandedly).

Madison Foolz. His short hand notes provide a stunningly accurate record of the speeches and arguments that took place during the constitutional convention he also was an advocate for the constitution, and helped defend it during the convention. He also had a hot fuckin' wife! seriously Dolley was like the hottest first lady ever.

Ben Franklin was a rebel indeed
He liked to get naked while he smoked on the weed
He was a genius but, if he were here today
The government would fuck him up his righteous A!

So yeah, Ben Franklin ftw.

Probably Washington or Franklin. If Washington hadn't been a great leader we may not have become a new nation at all, and if he hadn't stepped down after his 8 years (mind you he didn't have to) he could have seriously messed up the nation. Franklin was just a genius of course hard not to give him his props.

Either Jefferson for writing the constitution and making several great quotes, or Benjamin Franklin for inventing a bunch of stuff and also making several great quotes.
Technically credit for the constitution should go to Madison, Jefferson gets it for the Declaration.

Washington or Franklin. Though I am going to vote Washington simply because he was able to use words to convince either all or the vast majority of his remaining troops to stay with him at valley forger rather than deserting. I want to see any of us convince a bunch of armed farmers and tradesmen to do what Washington did, though credit also has to go to Baron von Steuben for his training as well. Washington and Steuben made a bunch of civilians and militia into a real army.
