OK so if anybody follows GOTY titles from different sites, you will see that X-play gave fable 2 Game of the Year!!! Ok...ok fable 2 is an OK game but it is NOT GOTY material!!! Where's MGS4? Fallout 3? Gears 2? LBP? Resistance 2? GTA 4?(spikes GOTY) They gave best RPG to fallout 3, and fable 2 GOTY? Wait...isn't fable 2 a RPG??? It doesn't make any sense at all, anyways what do you think of their Decision?

I think it was quite foolish honestly. I mean I really liked fable 2 but i agree with you. Game of the Year?! Seriously?! NOOOOOOO IDEA what the hell is going through their heads.

I haven't played any of those games really, but I'm not surprised really how they might royally screw up the "Game of the Year" award to a game some people would believe deserve it better. They've said crap about some video games I loved in the past and I generally ignore them because of that, though I don't have a xbox 360/PS 3/Wii to judge any of the games that is being claimed as the "best game EVARR" for the next 3 years to the general public.
I agree, it wasn't Game of The Year material, and neither were other titles. To me Spike shouldn't have a game show. What were they thinking giving GTAIV the title?

I don't get it either. Fable 2 was a poorly made game. Yes, it had some good ideas, but it just ended up being a buggy, shallow and inconsistant game. Its nothing compared to Left 4 Dead
I think the game of the year is easily GTA 4. After playing it through recently (I had forgotten the hype, so I could judge the game by its own merits) its absolutly outstanding, even better than MGS4 or Gears 2 IMO.

And did you actually like Fable II's story? Did you like Hammer?! Did you like how the story followed one linear line, no twists, no turns? Did you like the fuck you, kick in the balls, tea bag your arse ending? "Oh, Lionhead only gave us half game, Oh well, Im off to spend £20 plus on DLC". Stephen Fry was the only decent character in the whole thing.
And yes, games had bugs. But theres bugs, and theres Fable II bugs. There bugs, and there are bugs that stop you from playing the game, bugs that happen to major quest characters, bugs that make you wonder whether Lionhead actually played their game before releasing it. The whole thing was rush and slapped together, sad attempt at a finished game.

Methinks this is going a bit too far... and to everyone who though MGS4 deserved GoTY: I don't want to sit through cutscenes that are ~90 minutes long. Hell, I rarely have that much time to play games in one sitting. It's an odd choice, but it is justifiable. Personally, I think Fallout 3 deserved it.johnx61 said:
