Poll: G4TV/X-play is now a joke to me

I don't care anymore. I stopped taking them seriously when they gave Too Human a 4/5 and Star Wars: The Force Unleashed a 2/5.
There GOTY award was based on their opinions. G-foria is the awards show that the fans vote for, and honestly, I heard bitching about that too (b/c Halo 3 won).
I'm sick of this G-D flame war. It's all based on opinion. I think Fallout 3 was the best game of the year. I liked Fable 2. I hated MGS4. LBP is a good game but better then Fall3 or Fab2, no way.
But see, that's my OPINION! You have a different one, and so does the XPlay staff.

They did indeed do that. Before they did that, I did listen to their opinions on games. I didn't completely go by their opinion, but if a game was acclaimed by them and numerous other reviewers, it strengthened my resolve to grab that game. Now, if I watch X-Play, I'm only doing it because nothing else is on and perhaps they have decent gameplay footage. I pay no heed to their reviews anymore.shadow skill said:

I think we should all stop giving a shit about what others think of our games or our year in gaming. It's great to talk with other gamers about it, but when your just being 'talked to' that discussion loses its flair and will quickly degrade into pure hatred for whoever is doing the talking. Instead of a 'G4 sucks thread' maybe we can just do a 'whats your game of the year' sort of thing.
I felt that Fable 2 was a great game, but it did not deserve GOTY. Adam stated that although Fallout 3 was better as an RPG, Fable 2 was a better game overall. The problem is that how can a game be better overall if it can't even excel in the category is was made for?

I have to say that either MGS4 or Fallout 3 should have gotten GOTY. No I do not have a PS3 but I played MGS4 and loved it every bit. And if you look at my gamertag then Fallout 3 will not show up, but I played it on a friends account and loved it(he didn't want to let me or anyone else borrow it >.>). Truthfully, X-Play let me down this year.

I voted who gives a shit, it's all so generated and arbitrary anyways, it's like giving a professional wrestler an award for best punches, it's fake as hell. X-Play and G4 are not relevant anymore, and I doubt the show, and possibly the network, will be around for another 2 years.
......anyone else remember when this channel was TechTV and was way more enjoyable to watch. Ya know before half the day's scheduling was COPS.....Leo LaPorte you are missed...
