Poll: Game of the Year

Hey now, we've only gotten through not even 8 months out of 12, with like 20 great-to-awesome games coming out in the next 4 months. It's a bit too early to be having this poll. How bout a GOTY 2010 1st Half Poll? How will I know if Halo Reach or LBP2 will be amazing?

I pick RDR, not that there is too much of a selection, just because it's IMO the best western game ever created (prove me wrong), and also the only standalone game on this list.

Speaking of Rockstar, anyone looking forward to LA Noire?

Can probably chalk it up to the three in a row hit of Reach, New Vegas, and Black ops.

Nothing against those games though (well, except Black ops.)

In my humble and often flamed opinion there hasnt been a good game this year. The game ive gotten the most joy out of and played the most that came out this year would have to be Alien Swarm, but that was free!

And a special mention has to go out to settlers 7 because it made me remember that not all statergies are crap. That some are well rounded if a little repetitive.

It took me awhile to decide if i was actually enough of a Halo fanboy to pick it when it isn't even released yet.

I did pick it though, just because it is the most likely candidate for game of the year.

I would have picked ME2 if the poll was fair though, but is wasn't.

Mass Effect 2! But GOTY awards usually go to the best selling game so I will probably be Red Dead or Black Ops. Fuck those games. Mass Effect 2 is not just the GOTY but the Best Game ever made. Ever. Im going to buy the PS3 version just so I can own 3 copies, I love the game so much. I dont even want a Mass Effect 3. ME 2 was Perfect, a 3rd game would never live up to expectations.

Of those I'd say Red Dead, but I've had more fun with FFXIII, God of War 3 and Heavy Rain. Poll is fail.

Are you an actual fan of FFXIII? They are so rare it seems

I like it. Though it's not perfect (but what game is).
It could be a little more generous with some of the drops in the endgame...
I've accumulated only 5 Trapezohedrons (still need 1), but have everyone fully leveled, all missions except 2 finished & five starred, and enough gil to get by.

Perfect games? Only 2 Exists IMO, Mass Effect 2 and Portal.

I got to the open world point and am grinding. I don't think it deserves all the hate it gets. Like it is a good game, just not by FF fan standards. The item upgrade system is kind of annoying though.

Hmm.... Tough choice. Right now I'd say Mass Effect 2 but I'm gonna have to see if Halo Reach is gonna just be great, or GOTY worthy. Mass Effect 2 will dominate in single player but Reach's customizability combined with its accessability when it comes to its Co-op and Multiplayer might make up that difference.

Gonna have to see Sept 14th.
