Makes it feel like Im deserving my success if I die a couple of times. If i beat a game on hard without dying the will have been too easy in my opinion and I wont gain the satisfaction from achieving anything. However, I dont "like" dying as such, it doesnt give me a thrill or a euphoric feeling, more or less it makes me more determined or angry because I should have fucking won that.
In my experiance of gamers, they don't tend to react positively to losing, more swearing or a nervous twitch. We're a healthy lot. They WERE playing Nightfire though, maybe they just reallyt got a kick out of seeing a bad game fail. 99p a Gamestation for the PC on 2 for 1, those were the days
Oh and "dying" on games like Burnout and Resident Evil 4. Epic =)
