Ok we know by now that games made into movies are uniformly terrible. Can you guys think of a game that should be made into a movie, and why would it be any good?

The Exile/Avernum series have a pretty good story (most spiderweb stuff does).
I'd also like to see a Blade Kitten movie, but it'd be camper than Batman and Robin...which I also liked.

I would like to see a Metroid movie
opening scene-ship gets blasted during a space pirate raid. people fleeing all over. zoom in on little blonde girl crying as she sees both her parents die trying to protect her and get her to an escape pod, she makes it but her pod is hit by a piece of shrapnel from the destroyed vessel and is knocked off course to crashes on a nearby planet. after crawling from the crashed pod, she bursts into tears, nursing an injury, seemingly alone. then strange, slender, tall creatures (chozo) approach her; she attempts to crawl away but gives up and cowers before them until they gently (now fixed) reach down and hold out a friendly hand. she reaches and grasps the hand as the title flashes.

You did this wrong. It should be "Games that should be made into movies BY A COMPETENT DIRECTOR.".

I don't know if anyone else will agree, but I think Rule of Rose could have made a good film. Sure, the plot already resembles certain films like The Orphanage, but I think I see potential for a film that actually follows the plot of the video game.

I recently got into WoW and I found that the lore behind it is pretty interesting and I would like to see it on the big screen. Plus, it would help me figure out what the hell is going on half the time.

Well nothing by Square Enix anymore, they lost their right to do anything after FF13. Umm... Fallout is a good choice, it has a good setting that doesn't require a lot of thinking (Which movie developers have problems with). Mass Effect does not need a movie, its games are the only things it needs, along with Dead Space. Dead Space 2 kinduv ended everything.

Gears of War maybe (Unless they tie everything up at 3, or maybe they make an *Origination Movie*?).
Assassins Creed Series (unless they tie everything up).
