I said 2-5 hours because if I find a video game I enjoy, I will play for more than that, but when I don't(like right now) I might not play very much at all maybe just an hour or less a day.

Nothing, really, I just don't feel like playing anymore when I stop.

I don't really have other events, but if I did I would do them before the game, but only because it will be in the same place while stuff might change in life. Real time games are completely different: Screw "friends", That elephant guy hasn't seen me in week.

For me, alternates between 1-2 and 2-5. Depends on how busy my day is, how tired I am, how late I have to stay at work, or what kind of errands I have to do (i.e. life type stuff). I don't honestly game that much on the weekends, unless someone has organized a LAN (which isn't very often), tend to instead venture into the realm of the worst game ever, reality. Seeing as I probably average 0 to 3 hours a night during a whole week, I had to vote in the 2 - 5 range. God, miss the good 'ole days when I could stay up all night and play endless hours of Goldeneye, Lemmings, or Half-Life 1 with friends. Good times.

How many hours a day do I game these days? A modest 2-5.

I suppose a general lack of interest keeps me from playing more, and my need to get out of the house at least once a day. I don't have that many games, but then again, I generally don't buy games unless I know they're going to be really good. The games that I do buy, I play a lot. I've played Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles for a total of at least 80 hours.

How willing are you to forego other events to finish a game? At the most, I might put off homework/sleep/some other entirely self-motivated thing for a few hours to finish whatever I'm doing in a game (not necessarily beat the game, but if I'm playing a hard game and I keep dying at one part, I'll feel like playing was a complete waste if I don't eventually get past it), but there's no way I'm going to pass up hanging out with friends or anything for the sake of games.
