Let's face it, being sick sucks. Hot and cold flashes, sneezing, sore throats, headaches, vomiting, even death. But I got the pills that cure the death so I'm okay. Sorry, I got into a Pilz-E moment there...anyway. For some reason, when the sniffles start up, the second thing to go for me is the ability to play video games. So that's led me to wonder (and this is something scientists might actually want to study, the useless eggheads), when you're sick, does that make it harder or even impossible to play video games?
Like I said, I can't play games when I'm sick. The illness seems to throw off my reaction time, the stuffy head seems to clog my thought processing and the watery eyes and sneezing makes it hard to focus on the screen. I know it's possible for people with uber-leet gamer-senses to shake off the disease and power on through, but even people I know who've been gaming most their lives are crippled when gaming rolls around, myself included.
So I ask you, my fellow Escapists, when you're sick, can you still play games as well or even better than if you were healthy?
