Why do you say one other gammer using dip? What is dip? Or gammer for that matter? And how do you say persons? My brain hurts

So the clues we have so far is that you can dip (like in your tea or whatever?!) or chew or snuff whatever he is talking about. I would say tobacco but if you dip that in things then that is plain odd.

No, I smoke, but I have racked up big lines of snuff and snorted them in a pub before.
It was after going to a all night party, and just after the smoking ban. I realised that the ban was only on smoking and not all tobacco products, plus I 'inherited' some snuff from the party, so I thought why not?
I even did it as conspicuously and as drug like as possible (racking up the snuff into neat lines with a credit card and snorting it a rolled up paper tube) just to see whether it would cause a reaction (subconsciously I was protesting against the smoking ban), but it was only about 10AM on a Sunday so not many people noticed and the staff didn't seem to care.

No dip is disgusting beyond reproach. I once dated a chick who did the stuff (don't ask) and it was even worse than kissing someone who smokes. It was the 2nd biggest reason we broke up (the 1st being she was crazy as fuck)
Edit: Afterthought a lot of cops use dip because unlike smoking it's harder for them to get in trouble doing it on the job. I hate riding or working with them.

Dip as in chewing tobacco. And no. Its a gross, disgusting habit. There is nothing nastier than people walking around constantly spitting into a cup. And why? Just to get mouth and throat cancer.
