Poll: Gears of War chainsaw noobs

If you're constantly getting killed by a melee weapon, then it means either you should change your strategy, or you just plain suck. Sorry. Every game needs a melee humiliation weapon.

TF2: Bat, Shovel, Machete, Bonesaw, etc.
Saints Row 2: Pimp Slap

Every game has it and it's the same thing every time: If they got you with it you deserve it.

Exactly, and especially if it's a goddamn chainsaw, then it's awesome.
But some games, like Quake 3 actually have melee weapons meant for nothing else but humiliation. It even says "Humiliation!" when you kill someone with it
TF2 actually has achievements where you have to kill people with melee weapons or even proceed to taunt them over their corpse so their killcam shows you taunting them

All in all, OP has to improve his skills.

it seems now the only thing that can counter a chainsaw is another chainsaw but the lancer is one the most easily recognised game weapons and a sudden dramatic change like the chainsaw dissapearing may drive many fans away.

it is pretty funny when someones coming at you with the chainsaw and you blow their sorry ass away with a blast from the shotgun though.

You can't remove the chainsaw from the game, I don't even use it (hammerburst ftw) and get angry every time it happens to me. BUT it's the iconic weapon of the game. It would be like removing it's soul. I think just make it less powerful... like wen u get shot it actually lowers... doesn't "suck you in" from as far away...

EDIT: With the current Gears 2 matchmaking system most games are so laggy anyways that all you can do is chainsaw (I'm a lvl 41 so don't start shit saying i havent played in ages or wateva)

You have a lancer don't you? Chainsaw them back. if they run up to you with the lancer press the b button and have a chainsaw dual. May the Best Button Masher Win.

Ever since wathing Unforgotten realms, and the whole term "LumberJack" has been burnt in my head I always use the chainsaw, its just a inside joke with my friends... LIVE WITH IT....
Also after playing Mario party I almost always win chainsaw duels.

Remove the chainsaw? I don't even play Gears and that sounds like a bad idea. Just shoot the guy running at you until he stops running.
