There are two parts to this thread:
1) Do you consider yourself a geek? (I know this is subjective but bear with me)
2) Why? List things that you do that are geeky and things that are not geeky. Why does one side define how you see yourself?
Me:
Geeky:
-I play video games occasionally
-I play Dungeons and Dragons
-I am generally intelligent (in terms of grades and common sense)
-I am in (marching/concert) band
-I love to read
-I have little interest in mainstream popular culture (preferring old-ish music and old TV shows)
-I write stories and fiction
-I am fascinated by linguistics
-I am a Grammar Nazi
Non-Geeky:
-I am athletic
-I also play guitar and write music
-I like (good) music (a lot)
-I have (geeky) friends
-I sketch and draw well
I consider myself a geek because I devote more time and thought to "geeky" pursuits. While I enjoy the non-geeky things just as much, the geeky things usually take more thought and show a bit more.
