I only drink water and, on special occasions, soda.
Seriously? How do you go on just water? I wish I could do that...

I'm not exactly a big drinker myself though. By that, I mean I usually drink milk. Yeah, I know, I'm hardcore.
Over my life, I think I've had a grand total of five sips of alcoholic drinks. Didn't particularly enjoy any of them. Cider was probably the least icky.

you do realize that whiskey, vodka, and the alcoholic component of cocktails are all technically "spirits", right?

...that said... bourbon and ale for me. Don't make me choose just one. DON'T MAKE ME CHOOSE!

Well, whenever me and my friends are relaxing around a bonfire in celebration of some occasion (New Years, our friend coming home/being shipped off to war, etc.etc.) we usually just toast to random things by way of...well Jager bombs (Jagermeister shots chased with Redbull or by dropping the shot into a class of said Redbull, for those of you that don't know)

BUT! Picking from the list I had to go with Vodka. Never gets old.

Normally I'd gripe about gentlemen being exclusionary, but... looking at your username and avatar... I can't do it. I just can't.

However, I shall answer that gentlemen don't require poison. A butterfly knife is more than sufficient.

Also, I don't drink alcohol, but I've found that honey mead is one of the less offensive things I've tasted, and white chocolate liqueur is surprisingly not bad.

Professional alcoholic here. Depends on the mood and whatnot. I won't drink straight whiskey at a family gathering, I also would not ask for a cocktail at a corner bar, or a beer on a back porch watching the snow fall with a significant other. And the American Lagers should only be drank in a basement or at a punk show.

Jager followed by a Heineken and a whiskey shot, repeat all night. Add in Pitorro(puertorican moonshine) when there's any.

im more of a beer snob myself, but right now im really enjoying this Russian stout i picked up. i really hate it when people say they love beer when all the drink is pilsener or lager.

EDIT: also not opposed to a nice vodka, sloe gin, or a nice scotch every once and awhile

Partial to a great variety, though a dry Martini hits the spot very nicely.
Oh you. You and your sophisticated drinks.

Me on the other hand? Give me a cider, preferably something strong that sneaks up on you like a ninja with a baseball bat.

Brilliant Avatar to have this thread title associated with. I love it.

As for me. I prefer some nice Bourbon. I don't know why. As for what I usually end up drinking, Beer. If given the choice, I enjoy Sam Adam's Oktoberfest or Beck's.

Beer, for when I'm drinking at home. Very refreshing, and washes down meals well.

If I'm out then it's cider all the way. It's sweet, and really easy to have many pints, as well as being stronger. Cider is my happy buzz drink.
