Forget all of those options.
I don't agree with the no magic rule.
I'd summon a twisted Maia spirit, otherwise known as a Balrog, from the dark, hellish, abyss that is Angband.
The enemy would shit it's pants.

Siege weapons. I do math, engineering, and physics, so I'm way more valuable than a grunt. If pushed, I'd go with a crossbow, then a sword if things got a little too personal, since I actually have some sword training (not a lot, but more than the average medieval conscript by a long shot).

I'm missing some options: glaive, guisarme, halberd, lance, ranseur, spear, rapier, scimitar, sickle, trident, bull whip, ...
I agree there should have been a polearm/spear category. Rapier and scimitar are swords, so the fall in that category, and there could also be a 'peasant weapon' category, I suppose (scythe, sickle, staff, sling, sharp sticks, etc)

Clubs and Maces.
They are ideal for denting in armored helmets. So any knights that come into contact with me will be short work, especially thanks to their slow movement and limited vision.
Who wouldn't want a mercenary group that's sole purpose is exterminating knights.

Probably the Longbow. Because they gained quite an evil reputation under the use of English Longbowmen.
Crossbows have a nastier reputation. The Pope tried outlaw them because of their sheer lethality.
I'd be more inclined to believe the establishment's REAL reason for outlawing them is because they could be picked up and used by relatively untrained peasant armies to kill a knight who has spent his entire life training, and whose armor and horse are worth more than said peasant is likely to ever see in his lifetime.

IIRC it was the same reason the feudal Japanese outlawed firearms - Pretty much because the ruling class was also the military elite, and they didn't want to be cut down at 100 yards by "men of no value".

A mercenary group facing thousands of archers or peasants?

Can't go past a well weighted 2 handed sword for me...
Might be a little heavy for you little fellas though.

When I say knights I'm talking about the heavily armored fiends that were unleashed in the holy wars, Templars or w/e.
Heavily armored jack asses.
Sure they would travel with archers, but I'm sure my knight hunters could secure a few skilled bowmen.

Axes, I love the thought of smashing in skulls, and axe murderers are appealing to me. Straight up power is better than grace in my opinion.

Lack of polearms/spears was total brain fart on my part. Choices have been updated, swapping out bare fists (bit of a joke answer, trying to suss out the idiot weeaboos who think monks are as badass as they are in anime/manga).

The History Channel and the makers of Rome: Total War say that the Franciscan Throwing Axe is the deadliest medieval weapon, although it slightly predates medieval times, what with it being used against the Romans and all. So I choose axes.

:( I want to vote again I didn't see the spear catagory, I would chose a Lance. A 14 foot long bastard that I would wield with 2hands on a mount. Like the great Macedonian cavalry.

Knives, man. I'm the knife guy. A pair of circular blades with a couple of daggers here and there and I'm all set for combat.

Was that the thing that shot the flaming exploding arrows? 'Cause that thing was awesome!

The very same. Put "hwacha" into YouTube and see it in all its glory.
