Poll: Geth Engineer or Infiltrator?

So by some divine miracle I unlocked the Geth Engineer just now.

Holy shit. Hunter vision, a geth plasma shotgun, and an upgraded turret are one hell of a combo.
I aint unlocked the Infiltrator yet though.

So which one do you prefer?

Haven't gotten the infiltrator either, but yeah, I'm loving this fucking engineer. Hunter Mode is indeed just ridiculous, the turret is badass, and it's got Overload, one of the best offensive abilities in the game.

Personally, though, I rock him with the Geth SMG...the only fully automatic weapon that's worth a damn...and to be honest, I'd say it's worth a GOD damn. Fucking thing is DEADLY.

And the game just keeps throwing them at me, already got mine up to lvl 7. Pretty sure it's gonna be my first lvl 10 weapon.

That said, I'm betting I'll like the Infiltrator more.

It's pretty ridiculous, both as a Sniper and as a Shotgunner. The extra damage from Hunter Mode turns your rifle/shotgun of choice into a handheld howitzer. Especially the Geth Plasma Shotgun and Javelin since you get the Geth weapon damage bonus on top of all the other damage bonuses.

Anywho...

Of the two, I generally prefer the Infiltrator. The only time I really prefer the Engineer is if I'm in a Gold game and we lack any sort of support classes, since shield gating works both ways and the Geth Turret's shield regeneration is freaking awesome for keeping people alive.

Sorta?

If you rank it up and use the right mods it's actually pretty beastly. It's like an uber-Falcon... when being used under ideal conditions.

The issue is that it suffers from the same problem as the Falcon. It's not a hitscan weapon. So if you're playing with any sort of lag, there's a good chance you'll fire the gun and no rounds will come out (but still cost you the ammunition as if they did).

So it's capable of being pretty awesome - if you're the host or if the game has remarkably low lag. Otherwise it's garbage.

I recently picked up the Geth Infiltrator - I'll come back to it when I've got a better Javelin or Plasma Shotgun, but for now I'll leave it, because the Hunter Mode gives me a damn headache. Still, basically a big damn killing machine - it has ridiculous firepower, and then it has Tac-Cloak piled on top. That's just silly.

Geth Infiltrator. I don't find the Hunter Mode very useful for an Engineer.

With the Infiltrator + Hunter Mode + Javelin you can see through walls and shoot through them to (up to 1m thick with the Javelin, and I think over 2 meters of wall if you have the right mods/AP ammo installed).

Pretty crazy.

Infiltrator, all the way. Hunter Mode is something I can never live without now for my Infiltrator, and with both Tactical Cloak and Proximity Mine? The Geth Infil is possibly the best heavy-hitter I have now.

With the Harpoon Gun, I might as well call myself Vlad, because impaling some Cerberus or Reaper fools is almost ridiculously easy. With the Cloak fully upgraded so you can use an extra power when cloaked, firing off a charged Harpoon, then using the Mine as a direct-impact grenade on something like an Atlas or Banshee, tears them up. Headshots are the key though, especially with the Harpoon Gun.

Still, I wish I had a Javelin to use with him. But, regardless of whether you use a fully upgraded Widow, or a mostly-upgraded Harpoon, he is literally, a killing machine. Pardon the pun.

Geth infiltrator using a IX geth plasma smg with high lvl lightweight materials and high capacity mag mods then a IV widow with a high lvl extendo barrel and high lvl mag increase still hoping on the javelin sometime im mostly spec'd towards speed & damage with hunter mode and extreme damage with cloak and increased damage as the passive racial skill tree

I really love both, Hunter mode is exteremely useful when playing an infiltrator, and that shield restoring turret is really helpful when you are playing engineer, especially on gold runs.
