Ok, I wasn't trying to say is that games of the eighties where better than the games of today. I was wondering if there is a point in life where every game becomes predictical simply because you've played so many games. I'm not saying I'm exeptional good player, not at all.

It's just like going to the movies, after seeing so many movies, it's natural you become more of a critic.

I must say I really enjoy a game like Mass Effect, mostly for the deep storyline and atmosphere. Although the normal difficalty setting is a 'walk in park'...

M'eh.. I'm old, but we're about the same age.

I can still enjoy the FPS games though. I pretty much game with a group exclusively that focuses on mature game-play called Tactical Gamer. I've found that hooking up with a group that focuses more on Tactics in group/MMO settings has extended the playability of a number of the games produced today.
enlighten me please? :) sounds interesting
TacticalGamer.com - Mostly PC gamers but many do console also. Membership is free but if you desire preferential server slots, member-only high-speed downloads (patches, updates, mods), well.. a bunch of stuff.. you can fork out $9 a month or less. But like I said, it's free and you are treated just as respectfully!

Some of the games supported on TG servers the Battlefield series (PoE, PR, and FH2 mods), Team Fortress 2, ET:QW, CS:S, CoD4, WoW, EVE, Tabula Rasa, Hellgate:London, and probably 10 or more others.

TG relies on teamwork and communications to accomplish strategies and win battles instead of nonrealistic behaviors and exploits. Being a twitch player is no more or less of an advantage when you are playing for the overall success of the team.

Check out the forums and sign up if ya want (reference me if ya do!), see if interests you.

P.S. Same nick at TG.
