Poll: Give me your honest opinion.

Hmmmmmmm... It's not awful, per se, but it's simply yet another generic pop song that adds nothing and doesn't have any sound of its own save the same old crappy autotune and uninspired lyrics and boring hip-hop/pop/random teen-appealing stuff that so many songs by the likes of the Pussycat Dolls and Kesha have nowadays. In short, I don't hate it, but there's no way I would willingly listen to it.

Unfortunately, that's the way the 'popular' music industry is going nowadays, and shows like The X Factor that discourage people from writing their own material and covering genres outside the pop circle only serve to hasten the decline... thank the Gods for us still having good genres somewhere even if we have to hunt a little harder for them now

EDIT: Forgot to post my score. I gave it 2/5. If I'd hated it properly it would have been either 1 or 0...

I listened to the first 30 or so seconds. I got bored, so I skipped to about 2 mins in to see if it improved, and no, it didn't. So 1/5 for me.

I honestly think pop music hasn't been good since the 90s.

2. It's boring, it has nothing interesting going on, it's utterly safe and indistinct from every other pop song. It didn't get a 1 because it wasn't offensively obnoxious or anything. I wouldn't leave the room just because its on, as I would with, say, Sean Paul.

I will give you an absolutely unbiased opinion. You know it's unbiased because I haven't read any comments already on the thread, I am partial to all styles of music, and I haven't looked at the title of the song or artists involved.

And all that said, it's a one. Where's the damn beat? It's like listening to a pop soup. The actual sounds used are also pretty f***ing irritating, along with a boring melody and lyrics that are sappy, fake nonsense and furthermore, are repeated like it was the only thing the lyricist could think of. I cannot stand this song. And I like a lot of things other people would call pop crap (and I mean Tik Tok and Lets Go, amongst others). Yeah, one the whole way through I'm afraid.

EDIT: AND GOD DAMN, HI KNOW? HEVERYBODY? STAHP.

It sounds generic, repetitive and completely unremarkable. The lyrics are bad and the sound is mediocre, at best. However, it's not obnoxious or anything. It's just... not good. It gets a 2. Out of 10. Thousand.

Lyrics are complete nonsense and the music is just about as generic a dance song you can think of.

It gets a 2 only because it was the first time I heard it. I'll rate it lower next time someone asks. I'm not a fan of modern pop.

pop fans demand nothing of their music, and pop music demands nothing of its creators

I suppose something could be said for production and such, but if the song, at its very core, is uninteresting to me then I can't really opine about the studio magic on top of it.


As a side note, everybody hates me because I'm a harsh shithead with my critique of everything.
