It just goes to show how musically illiterate I am (relatively) that I only though about Galaxy News Radio. I didn't even know that Guns and Roses was abbreviated as GNR. Makes sense now, though.

I didnt vote, mainly cause GNR doesnt mean anyhting to me. the only option that was relevant to me was Guns N Roses, but I didnt even think that at first. I thought it was some new game people were abbreviating.

So yeah, those other two are completely new to me. Really the only thing I thought of was GM - General Motors, and I dont even know why I thought that.

THIS IS THREE DAWG! Yep, Galaxy News Radio was the first thing that came to my mind. Oh and by the way does anyone else think that Three Dog was way cooler than Mr New Vegas (I know his isn't the only radio station but hey, GNR wasn't the only station in the capital wasteland)? I mean it's pretty fitting that they hired Wayne Newton for New Vegas considering the kind of Vegas they wanted to embody but all he ever does is flirt with his audience and not make an appearance (unless he does so really late in the game ) whereas Three Dog talked all about fighting the good fight and tried to make the Wasteland a better place.

K-DST! The reason is Tommy "The Nightmare" Smith is voiced by Axl Rose, and I LOVED listening to K-DST when playing San Andreas.


Second thing? Galaxy News Radio playing Guns 'n Roses! I modded out that dull, static-filled 50's droning and threw in some good stuff, among which were GnR's best hits. Civil War, Welcome to the Jungle, November Rain, songs like that. Sure is pretty damn epic storming into DC with Welcome to the Jungle blaring.

When I first saw this tread my first instinct was that people were interested in nanophysics and were interested in Graphene Nanoribbons, the subject of my PhD and, potentially a replacement to silicon in transistors for future nanodevices.

My hopes were dashed when no one even mentioned it in passing! How is a Nobel prize winning material (Graphene) not the first on everyone's list?

I have seen Guns 'N Roses in concert. I've listened to a good number of their songs. Hell, I even remember Tommy The Nightmare Smith from GTA:SA...

But the first thought I had was Galaxy News Radio... I've played too much Fallout.
