Wait, what? You believe in God like powers though? The logic of whether something exists or not was thrown out the window on a question like this.

OT: Afterlife, 100 years is too short no matter what compared to an eternity of bliss.
godLIKE powers does not mean being god it means powers that god would have if he would exsist.

God powers, partially because if I have them I can circumvent any rules I want, and partially because I like the idea of being dead, without needing to worry about living on past that point.

Definitely afterlife. Godlike power is tempting, but it would ultimately end up alienating me from all regular people. I enjoy solitude from time to time, but not enough to be completely alone for 100 years.

I would choose the power and use it to resurrect myself over and over, as long as I wanted. I would also give my close friends and family and such temporary immortality. Loopholes!

Afterlife.

For starters, I don't know that I would ever trust myself with that kind of power. Better people than myself have been corrupted by power much less extraordinary than that of a God's. Just look in your history book.

Add in the fact that your almost limitless power only lasts for a century (which would probably fly by if I were immortal) and then I just cease to exist for the rest of eternity; and you have a deal-breaker.

That said, however, what's keeping somebody with God-like powers from just creating a place for himself after his 100 year trial-period is over? I imagine that there would be some way for an all knowing, super powerful, invincible being to ensure that his essence lives on after his body dies.

Otherwise, I'd definitely take the second option.

I have to agree with the other guy who quoted you, God-like powers include a whole range of physically impossible and generally 'incomprehensible to mortals' type of abilities.

So personal beliefs probably shouldn't play any part in replying to this question

I would anyways pick god powers and make few planets and make them fight with each other for my own amusement.

So the afterlife is a good place were I am guaranteed to go there if I choose it? I guess that mean I can be a dick or doing many sinful deeds and I still got a place in that afterlife? Afterlife here I come!

I'm thinking that if I have the powers of a god I'll pretty much be The Doctor which means I will find a way to extend the 100 years to infinity. Maybe not infinity but indefinitely

I'd go with the god powers. Then i, with my infinite knowledge, create a device capable of translating my imagination directly to reality. I then internalize this power, make it transcend this reality, then remove myself from this reality while still maintaining a presence here, then nullify the guy who gave me my original powers. By "nullify," i mean make it so he simply never existed, but because i am outside this reality, that has no effect upon me or my powers. After all that, i, with my immortality and god powers, do whatever the hell i want for eternity, going to other realities should i so desire.

As an aside, part of the problem (IMO) with some people saying "I will try to find a way to beat the restriction," is that they're trying.

Screw the rules, give yourself the ability to give yourself immortality. Or make a device that does that. Anything, really.

If by afterlife you mean "having orgies with hoards of beautiful-ass angels everyday while laughing at the real world out of pure spite", then I'll take afterlife anyday. Otherwise, still afterlife.

Guaranteed afterlife. What is a mere century when measured against the rest of eternity?

...Tough call. I'd love to have godlike powers... but an afterlife where I could do whatever would be nice... though wouldn't it get boring after a while? Hm...

I don't care much for a "perfect afterlife". I like the ups and downs and inperfections of living.
Well then your idea of a perfect afterlife is with good and bad events, yes? Wouldn't that mean that your afterlife would be perfect in that it is perfectly imperfect?

OT: Definitely the afterlife, because screw you, if I get everything I want, then I want my friends and family there after they die. Bam! Loophole.

God powers, definitely. If I was around forever then there would be a point where I just wanted to finally die, but I couldn't. It would be torture. A hundred years of fun and power is plenty for me.

Could you use those god powers to fix your grammar and make a coherent post, too? That'd be nice.

OT: I have an idea that goes a little like this:
>Get god powers
>Use god powers to guarantee place in afterlife/make afterlife accessible to me
>Use god powers to extend the duration of my powers
>Maybe become immortal?
>???
>Profit

Does this somehow imply that you believe in God Powers? Because that's even less plausible than an afterlife.

OT: Afterlife. Assuming eternity, I don't see how I could choose anything else.
