Well it's basically winter down here, but I went to a great music festival last Sunday. It was held 10 minutes up the road, and it starred some pretty good Australian acts. Art vs Science, Gotye, Birds of Tokyo, as well as acts like The Wombats, Datarock, and so on and so forth.

It was cold as balls though, so I had to buy a jumper half way through. God damn expensive merchandise.

Holy mother of crap, Graspop has some line-up this year!
Too bad there's no way in hell I'm gonna be able to attend...

And you know, one day me and my friends are gonna rent an old Volkswagen van and drive to Sziget.
Just because we can tell our grandkids we did it. :p

Alright, alright... The festival season has been underway for a little bit now, but it's still fairly early in the season. At least, in The Netherlands.

So, what are your plans? I'm usually a big festival hog with going to at least 2 festivals each summer. This year is gonna be a bit different though. Due to massive shortage on time I can only attend one.

And the only one I can go to -time-wise- is the Pinkpop festival in The Netherlands. Not a big deal though, I've been there for the last 6 years and it's always a blast! It's got a decent line-up this year and the atmosphere as always crackin'. But with the likes of Foo Fighters, Avenged Sevenfold, Deadmau5, Bloody Beetroots, Graffiti6, Ash, Volbeat and De Staat, I think my musical appetite will be satisfied.

And besides, who DOESN'T want to see Hanson live at least ONCE?

MMM-BOP! :p
It's a shame Tool ain't anywhere this year :(

OT: Creamfields! August 27th -29th!

It's gonna' be a rough weekend that.

I will probably go to Download or Sonisphere too.

Went to Groovin the Moo 2 weeks ago, and it's autumn down here.

Birds of Tokyo + The Wombats + Art vs. Science + Gyroscope + Cut Copy + Datarock = best $100 I've spent in my life.

I'll be photographing Bonnarro and the B.O.M.B. Festival taking place in Connecticut in two weeks.

I might also be going on tour with the band Ash and photographing the festivals they'll be appearing at. Dates here http://www.ash-official.com/tourdates/

I really want to go to Sonisphere this year (UK by the way) because the Big Four of Thrash are all playing, only problem is money.

Bah, I'd love to but money is far too much of a strain. As is travel considering Download is in Donnington and R1's Big Weekend is somewhere in Wales....

Apparently they headlined Big Day Out in January.
And APPARENTLY they're also writing right now. Which means (in Tool terms) that there's a new album anywhere from next year 'til like 4 years.

And touring will probably resume anywhere from 1 year after that 'til 3 years after that.

Man, I'm glad I've already seen them once, or else I'd go crazy if I had to wait for THAT to ever happen, haha!

Going to Warped Tour, at Blossom, July 20,2011. My cousin is taking me, even though I paid for the tickets. Guess I'm really taking him. Not drinking though, even though it's my first concert where I'll be legal to. I think it'll be more fun when sober. Concerts always seem to be for me.

Probably would have bought tickets for Oxegen, had I not already booked my flights to the US. Not that I'll miss much. When <spoiler=this>http://www.ticketsmore.com/frk-images/black-eyed-peas-2.jpg is a headline act for a rock festival you know something's wrong.

Meh, a few years ago Pinkpop was headlined by...

The Sugababes.

Let that sink in for a while. It was not a good year.
Although, Black Eyed Peas can suck a big one as well, I can hardly take a festival serious if they throw in a headliner like that.
