Okay so a new series of Pokemon has been announced.
http://www.escapistmagazine.com/news/view/100993-New-Legendary-Pokemon-Herald-Black-White-Release-in-2011

I truthfully am not amazed at this. I loved Pokemon when I was a kid and still like the series but I am annoyed at where Pokemon is going. I am tired of all these new Pokemon! I really preferred the more realistic animal style of the first two series, but over the years the Pokemon have slowly gotten more crazily animated and just odd. And all these series are exactly the same! Just look at these things that are the same...

Continent with weird name
Old professor who wants you to fill Pokedex and gives you starting Pokemon
Starting Pokemon that are grass, fire, or water type (Three evolutions)
Rival who you name and gets Pokemon whose type is stronger than yours
A Mom
A evil organization who you always run into and eventually defeat
A common bird (Three evolutions)
A common rodent (Two evolutions)
A common bug (Three evolutions)
A kind of rare dragon (Three evolutions)
Three elemental similar Pokemon
A rare Pokemon for the game
Geodude and Zubat
etc.

My favorite series was the second one (Gold, Silver, Crystal) because it had the best Pokemon and was the size of TWO of the games. You got to replay the first game! Plus team rocket was better than Magma, Aqua, or Galactic. I also have always been annoyed at the whole "Two games so not every game has every Pokemon". I really wish the series would STOP MAKING NEW GAMES. There are over 500 Pokemon now! We are good on the whole Pokemon situation really, so they can be done making new ones.

You know what would be AWESOME. A game that had all the continents with all their Pokemon in them in ONE GAME. They could sell that for like $100 and I would still buy it. I would buy a Wii if it meant that a Pokemon game would cover the WHOLE Pokemon universe. So here are your voting options.

1) I LIKE NEW POKEMON; I WOULD LIKE UNIVERSAL POKEMON GAME
2) I LIKE OLD POKEMON; I WOULD LIKE UNIVERSAL POKEMON GAME
3) I LIKE NEW POKEMON; I LIKE THE SPLIT UP POKEMON GAMES
4) I LIKE OLD POKEMON; I LIKE THE SPLIT UP POKEMON GAMES
5) I HATE POKEMON

I've only ever really played Pokemon Blue, but if there was one big game with all the Pokeymans and all the lands from all the other games, I'd probably buy it. Having them restricted by version, color, special events, and other nonsense effectively means you can never "catch them all" unless you cheat, which is just lame.

A Pokemon game that had all the regions would be fun. I'd play it.

I could get into that, yeah. My only problem with it is how would you handle the starting pokemon? Just all of them are available and you pick your favorite one?

I'd hate one that had all the regions. That's means it would have the extremely poorly designed Johto, and Heart Gold was enough to remind me how much I always hated that place back in the days of the GameBoy Color.

Give me any other region and I'm cool, though.

Silver/Gold were the best games of the series IMO, since it had new pokemon, whilst still being able to catch the old pokemon.

this is the reason why i never rated Ruby to highly, since the game was missing shitloads of the old pokemon, hell, even Pidgey was missing. PIDGEY!! the most basic pokemon ever (along with Rattata).

You could choose your starting region and start off with that. Also a game should have starting pokemon in the wild. Seriously.
