This will sound ridiculous, but when I had my N64, I only ever owned three games--Super Mario 64, Mario Kart 64 & Hot Wheels racing. Obviously, the best of these was Hot Wheels racing! Naw, I'm just kidding. I played all the way through Super Mario 64 twice, and loved every second.

UM!? Hello?!

STARFOX!!

My friends hated it when i slammed on the breaks, dived towards the ground, and dropped a nova bomb for them to fly through - SPLASH DMG FTW!

There is a Kirby game on the N64. I don't remember exactly what it is called but it was awesome.

Your poll was not needed as there are FAR more games for the N64 than that

My answer is banjo tooie
On project 64 this is the only game i have that hangs.
WHY GOD, WHY?!

That game has held up really freaking well actually, it even has widescreen support. God I love (old) rare...

To those saying Goldeneye, did you ever play Perfect Dark? It was Goldeneye x 5000. The multiplayer was totally customizable down to the music and how bots (if you wanted them) would act. What other game lets you have a duel with your friend while 8 bots run around disarming you whenever you pull out a gun? PeaceSim level Dark army!? Oh shit!

As for my top 10,

1. Pefect Dark
2. Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time
3. Starfox 64
4. Banjo-Tooie
5. Banjo-Kazooie
6. Super Mario 64
7. Mario Kart 64
8. Jet Force Gemini
9. Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask
10. Pokemon Snap

I did always want to play Eternal Darkness... It looks so good.

Of all N64 games the most fun I had was with LoZ:OoT. A bit predictable but it really is that good. Then straight afterwards I would have to choose Starfox 64. Completing it on the harder route to the final boss was one of the best gaming moments of my life.

Donkey Kong 64 is my fave.

It's like banjo-kazooie, except there's more upgrades, more things to collect, etc.

Yes. They're all the best, cause the 64 was the best. All of them.

But seriously though, OoT stands above them all just slightly higher.

I'm going to go with Ocarina of Time, just because I'm a classic Zelda nerd, and it was the first one I played.

Ogre Battle 64, without question. It's strategy done right, and most modern games I play don't live up to the bar it set.

If there's one thing as a gamer that I will never, ever regret, it's not buying an N64. Looking back on that era, I got so much out of my PS1 and could never get excited for the backward cartridge setup, small line up of games and that god awful Frankenstein's monster that people called a controller. Any time I've run into an N64 game that people told me was "classic" and "had to be played", it turned out to be really bad, or just plain mediocre.
My opinion is the complete polar opposite of yours. I consider the Nintendo 64 to be the zenith of console systems. I have more games for it than any other console I own and it easily beats the living shit out of the Playstation 1. I also think that it had the best designed controller. No button was too far away to cause problems and it was easy and comfortable to hold. If it weren't for the fact that they tend to have shorter lifespans than most controllers, I would say it was flawless.
