Whether he's real or not? I don't know. Depends on what you believe. Most religions have an Angel of Death, most of which are drawn upon to some extent to create the modern idea of the Grim Reaper. Is he a bad guy? No, he's just doing an unpleasant but necessary job. Gotta respect him for that. Besides, he uses a Scythe, which is fucking awesome for a weapon.

At least if Neil Gaimen is to be believed.
I have seen her, had coffee with her if you can believe it.

It's neither a man or a woman. Even tho it's probably not even real. But it's a f***ing badass anyways.

I don#t think he actually exists, but I've always wanted to dress up as him, and knock on an old person's door and say "Your time has come"

But I'm evil like that.

He's a really interesting character, bought him a beer once. He has a slight obsession with time-pieces though, and every time the bell ion the clock tower outside rang, he stood up and said "Your time has come, mortal". Odd chap.

The grim reaper can't be real...
I keep trying to summon (Him? Her?) on Sims 3 but it never works :(
wait, what does wiki say?

Death as a sentient entity is a concept that has existed in many societies since the beginning of history. In English, death is often given the name the "Grim Reaper" and from the 15th century onwards came to be shown as a skeletal figure carrying a large scythe and clothed in a black cloak with a hood. It is also given the name of the Angel of Death (Hebrew: îÇìÀàÇêÀ äÇîÈÌåÆúý Malach HaMavet) stemming from the Bible.

In some cases, the Grim Reaper is able to actually cause the victim's death, leading to tales that he can be bribed, tricked, or outwitted in order to retain one's life. Other beliefs hold that the Spectre of Death is only a psychopomp, serving only to sever the last tie from the soul to the body and guide the deceased to the next world and having no control over the fact of their death.

In many languages Death is personified in male form (English including), while in others it is perceived as a female character (for instance, in Slavic languages, e.g. in Polish).

well... that's interesting...

Edit: He/She is the personification of Death.
a.k.a. Not Real (death is, but he/she isn't)
