Assassin's Creed. Cause nothing says "Badass" than jumping off a huge chapel into a bail of hay

I prefer Saint's Row 2.

That being said, I also really enjoyed the original Saint's Row, (it was my favourite sandbox game until the sequel and better than GTA4 IMO), so consequentially GTA4 was a let down in the fun department, once the initial impression or the pretty graphics had worn off.

I never found the "grinding" in between missions to build up my respect to be a chore, because the diversions were a lot of fun for me, and initially I spend most of my time doing them for fun, so I always had enough respect to do the missions.

Saint's Row 2, which I *just* finished, incidentally. I did enjoy GTAIV, but here's the thing; it took me over a month to finish GTAIV, because I was too bored to drive around New York without anything to do, other than the story missions. It took me six days to finish Saint's Row 2, while ditching my studying in the process, despite the fact that exams are a week away.

Sandbox = fun. Sandbox != dinner dates.

I had more fun with SR2, But I like the look, feel and story of GTA4 more.

I don't like the "I'm a gangsta- dawg! I needs to go rob stores and smash faces for nothing more then respect" vibe that SR2/GTA:SA had.

If they would of made the "hey! buddy lets go on a date tonight" aspect of GTA4 fun instead of a chore I would of had more fun in it

get MAfia for PC
Mafia was all sorts of awesome, but it wasn't truly a sandbox game. The giant city was there just to be there- not a whole lot to do in it. It was mostly story-driven. Still awesome though.

I countered that, by making a white, blondish guy with Michael Caine's voice =P The gangsta aspect was diminished and I was just a very happy, very sadistic prick.

Euch, GTA 4 for actually being a technical accomplishment instead of Saints row 2 for being an imitation of a technical accomplishment.
