Eh. It has the eternal MMORPG problem of the combat, characters and animation all looking like crap.

Environments look awesome though.
I think the Charr look pretty damn bad ass. The humans look fairly lame, and the animations certainly aren't as fluid as WoW's, but it's a far-cry better than most of the recent "wow-killers" in terms of production value.

I'm hoping, reeeally hoping, that I'll be able to get a computer that can play GW2 before it comes out. I want to pounce on this, and pounce on it hard >_> It has basically everything I want in an MMO. The reason I play multiple MMOs at the moment is because none of them do it for me in every way. This looks like it would.

Dynamic events, good level scaling, no/lessened appearance of 'definite roles' like healer and tanker, fun races, dynamic combat... yeah. I'm set.

The roles bit has /always/ annoyed me to no end. In my opinion, classes should be simply your 'style', not your definite and permanent role in the game.
It's like those "who would win in a fight" things - wolverine or darth vader? Well, they have drastically different fighting styles, but they're both badass, they both deal damage just fine on their own, and most people wouldn't know which to pick if they were looking for someone to have on their team.
The same should be able to be said about classes in a game. Every character is enjoyable, both to play as, and to play with in a party. Everyone feels content playing the class that is the most fun for them, and when they go to look for a party, they pick based on the player's attitude, or their actual skill. Nothing else. The class is simply variety.

P.S. I picked Wolverine and Darth Vader at random. I really have no idea whether anyone would consider them equals in a fight or not ._.
