Excited or not? What have you heard? I haven't completely decided as of yet if I want to purchase the sequel...
When it does come out, I'd just love to have some perspective on the game... please, any GW fanboys and girls... Help me out?

New races, I say! New races!

I'm pretty excited because I loved the first one (Atleast it's PvP contents)

Just wanted to point out that this is in the wrong forum, PM a mod to lock it then put it into Gaming Discussion.

And now it's in gaming discussion.

I know next to nothing about it, the first Guild Wars got boring for me but- no monthly fee's is good?

Well, most people's complaints about the first game are being resolved in this one (supposedly.) Less instancing and open world PvP are selling points for me.

Looks sick. Free monthly play, new classes and races, and hopefully the gameplay will carry over.

It looks like Guild wars with new races, new content, bigger world, non-instanced towns, and a Z-axis.

Jump button! That means we can cross that tiny little drop now!

i think they might still be...depends if they think itd be better to let everyone see eachother or if they think people stealing eachothers kills is more important than actual people visibilty outside of towns/outposts...if that makes sense

If guildwars 2 is more of the same then I will deffinatly get the collectors edition I will be happy as long as they keep the core combat mechanics like stats/character class being redistributable and no subscription fee.
I love how even if I don't play for a month my character remains just as powerfull because of the focus on skill and little on weapons and armour which are easily obtainable so grinding is really a non issue when nothing needs reparing and 5K buys you the best end game armour sure you can go for Elite armour but gamewise its a waste of time.

I love the original and fully intend to get the sequel (Collector's edition if possible).

It sounds like they're adding jumping (Not a biggie IMO), races (Charr Ranger FTW!), and the ability to meet people in the wilderness (Not sure if I'll like that particular change or not, depending on how it works out). It also sounds like they're going to let you take more skills with you (10 instead of 8 I think), and they may do away with the level cap, and just have limited advancement after a certain point (Though if you consider getting a skill point as leveling up, the original didn't have a level cap either, it just stopped counting after 20).

I like Guild Wars, but I cannot be bothered shelling out money for a few more races and quests. The games too repetitive for me to even play the first 4 again.

Oooooh yes I'll be getting GW2.

Had an absolute blast with the GW campaigns + EotN add-on with friends, and it's probably the most-played game by yours truly.
Of course after a time you do get 'burnt out', but I feel that I got my moneys worth by far with the GW games.

I'm also really looking forward to seeing how exactly your characters Hall of Monuments items affects your future characters. *really wants a pet grown-up Black Moa for a new ranger*
