Poll: Guild Wars Vs World of Warcraft

I was a player of both games extensively and I have to say World of Warcraft is the better game. Some of your arguments for guild wars were just opinion as well. Things like "Better fighting mechanics" and "Epic Storylines" are kind of subjective. In my personal opinion WoW's combat mechanics are among the best ever created in a PC game. (MMO or not)

Also WoW does have loading screens in most instances so that does get kind of annoying and I think Guild Wars does pretty good. The loading isn't very long in either so both are great in that area. The open world pretty much secures me on WoW though. I own both games (with all expansions for each) and still play them from time to time but I'd have to go with WoW on this one.

Wow definitely. The poll will be biased becuase wow players hate the game. I think if you add the guild wars and wow percentages youll get a more accurate result of wow fans.

I used to like CoH. but they ruined the game w/ IOs.

Which ones? The normal IOs, or the sets? I can see maybe the set IOs being detrimental (key word "maybe"), but the idea of not leveling up and wondering why all my powers are half as effective means I love the normal ones.

The plain IOs arent any different than SOs. it's the sets yes.

When they introduced IOs they also made enemies harder in general too to keep the game "balanced". Thats why I said it ruined it. Because instead of having a game where you could stay "Super" while leveling. And BE super when you finally hit 50. They make you level to 50 then do the equiv work of leveling to 50 all over just to get IO sets.

I personally am a Guild Wars person, though I have played both games for more than 6 months each, so it's not like I didn't give WoW a fair shot. I just couldn't get into the story though, despite my love for Warcraft III. So I'd say 11 million people can be wrong. The nazis were, and they had more than that many supporters. Sheer numbers does not quality, or for the latter case morality make nor indicate.

WoW, I prefer the UI, the whole story behind it. Always been a warcraft RTS fan.

I love Guild Wars, why pay for something when you can play something better for free?
I cannot wait to play as a Charr in GW2.

when guild wars 2 finally comes out, i will definitely buy that and play it. i like guild wars, mainly because it's free cuzz I'm broke so it's fun too be able to play a quality MMORPG that is free to play.
