Poll: Guns and FEAR FACTOR!!

So. We all know guns kill things. Especially the squishy screaming masses called humans. BUT some guns don't just kill. They make you shit yourself just at the mere sight of such a mighty weapon.

SO. I want to know Escapist. What guns do you think have the real FEAR factor? (Excluding obviously miniguns, Vulcan cannons, Explosives weapons, Flame throwers, and the Like.)

Myself? I believe the weapon of Choice for me to bring some real fear to the game would be the ever so old and ever so deadly Browning Automatic Rifle. or B.A.R. Nothing says F**K you like a 15 pound Iron death machine. And that deep thrum of the Ammo being Expelled from the gun is just, so HEAVY.

So yeah. Lets hear your Fear Factor guns, be they hand-held automatic or semi auto, so long as it fires a bullet and makes people shit themselves when drawn.

A friend of mine had a 12-gauge shotgun pointed at him once, and a knife at his throat another time. He told me that the knife situation was way scarier. Guns aren't really that frightening because if one's pointed at you, you either get shot or you don't and there's not a lot you can do, with knives the potential for pain seems far greater (although in reality that's probably not the case) so they're the real fear weapon.

Conversely, knives always seem really crap in computer games and not scary at all. Except the Battlefield series' one-hit-kill cheat-daggers I guess. If we're talking computer games and not real life, I thought the double-barrel shotgun from Doom 2 was pretty badass.
